This symbol is meant to invoke the Korean character ‘ㅇ’, the Chinese character ‘川’, and an ocean wave

Incheon’s City Brand
The CI features Incheon International Airport as the main motif, with the English word “Fly” fused with the images of dynamic ocean waves and the wings of a red-crowned crane, which is known as a symbol of the founding force of Incheon.
Incheon’s Tree
The tulip tree is perfect for parks and streets due to its resistance to cold and insects as well as its rapid pace of growth. Having its origin in North America, it also serves as a reminder that Incheon is the place where the Korea-US Treaty was signed.

Incheon’s Bird
Many districts in Incheon are named after the crane, including Songhak-dong, Cheonghak-dong, Seonhak-dong, and Hakik-dong. These towns are all home to cranes. Munhak-dong in particular was the former administrative capital of Incheon. (*’hak’ means crane in Korean)

As a port city, Incheon is represented by the blue color of the sea, and has an energetic and determined spirit that soars dream-like towards the ocean.
