Gwangseongbo is the site of the fiercest battle between Joseon and the US Asia Fleet, led by Rogers in April 1871. - Deokjinjin
Deokjinjin, paired with Deokpojin at Gimpo, was the number one fortress defending the Yeomha Straits. - Gapgot Dondae
Gapgot was an important fortress guarding the Strait of Ganghwa during the Goryeo period, when the capital was moved to Ganghwado (Island during fighting with the Mongols, until the 11th year of King Wonjong (1270).
