Sugi Beach in Sido (Island), Ongjin-gun, which was the location for the drama “Full House,” appears like an image from a beautiful painting. The film set of the popular TV drama features full-length windows with a wide-open view, a white platform that reaches to the sky, and wooden decks extending to the sea. It is a beautiful house that would seem fit for the characters. Sugi Beach, where the house used in “Full House” was built, features a cozy sea that seems to surround the panoramic view from one end to the other, with an elegant bow-like shape. Walking a few steps from Sugi Beach towards the mountain, you will see a white villa set against a fine scenic view at the far end of Sido, a view that almost resembles something you would see on a Mediterranean beach. This is the location where the heartbreaking love story “Sorrowful Love Song” was filmed.
Island of Paradise, Muuido (Island)
From the sea, echoes of a heartbreaking love story ride in with the waves. The “Staircases of Paradise” melodrama depicts the different loves and destinies of four men and four women. The sand dune at Hanagae Beach features a house where two characters from Staircases of Paradise remember their childhood. The House of Heaven looks particularly beautiful standing alongside the sea. The story from the melodrama unfolds by the seaside, where the character says, “love will return,” while throwing a boomerang.
