Successive Mayors

Major Objectives

Spokesperson

  • Promote major projects of the City in the media, and publish PR materials including newsletters, picture reports,
    films and books.

Audit and Inspection Office

  • Provide supervision services to build a society with clean public services.

International Cooperation Division

  • Promote international exchanges, including sisterhood relationships and exchanges with foreign cities, and attract foreign investment in the free economic zone and in other areas.

Urban Design Promotion Office

  • Develop plans for urban landscaping, and discuss and evaluate green landscaping, night landscaping and diverse development projects.

Planning and Management Office

  • Plan and coordinate affairs of the City Office.

Autonomy and Administration Bureau

  • Select, employ and place public officers
  • Manage diverse affairs related to civil requests, taxation, accounting and settlement.

Health Social Bureau

  • Improve the welfare of citizens, to guarantee them healthy and convenient lives.

Economy and Trade Bureau

  • Facilitate the growth of the local economy through the stable production and distribution of goods,
    the stabilization of consumer prices, and the protection of consumers for the benefit of citizens.

Family Welfare Bureau

  • Women, youth, senior citizens and welfare to improve are working

Transportation Bureau

  • Develop a range of transportation measures to secure smooth traffic, including road and railroad construction
    projects, and provide administrative guidance services for the improvement of transportation services, including
    parking facility management and bus and taxi service improvement programs.

Culture, Tourism and Sports Bureau

  • Facilitate the development of local arts and culture.
  • Foster arts organizations; preserve cultural assets, traditional folk culture, monuments and significant remains;
    develop and promote new tourist destinations.

Urban Planning Bureau

  • Develop an urban development plan to make Incheon a beautiful, convenient and well-organized city.
  • Provide surveying services to enable the use of Incheon’s land as an important resource.

Environment and Forestry Bureau

  • Preserve and improve the environment to make Incheon a clean city with favorable living conditions. 
  • Provide waste treatment services, management of pollution-causing facilities, park management, water quality
    management and protection of wildlife services.

Economic Capital Propel committee

  • Manage affairs related to facilities under urban planning, including Incheon International Airport, Incheon Port and Canals, and provide logistics planning and coordination services as well as comprehensive management services related to fisheries.

The Asian Games Support Headquarters

  • Build facilities for hosting the 17th Incheon Asian Games in 2014, and provide administrative and financial support for the successful hosting of the Games.

Fire & Disaster Management Department

  • Prevent accidents, including fires, and secure the safety of citizens. Guarantee safety of citizens through prompt responses to all accidents, including fires.
