3rd New Town Initiative Naming Contest

Municipal governments (Incheon, Seoul, Gyeonggi) and LH are hosting the “3rd New Town Initiative Naming Contest” as developers of the 3rd New Town Initiative on behalf of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. The Contest is open to Incheon Metropolitan Government staff. We look forward to your interest and support.   

 ○ Target: 5 “New Town” cities (minimum 3,300,000㎡) in Gyeyang, Namyangju, Goyang, Hanam, Bucheon, and 3 small to medium cities in Gwacheon, and near Seoul Medical Center construction site, Sadang station, and the integrated transfer center.

 ○ Application Period: October 23 (Wed) ~ November 17 (Sun), 2019

    * Evaluation: November 18 (Mon) ~ Early-December, 2019 / Announcements: Mid-December, 2019

   - Please specify the city you want to name (you may apply for all 8 cities), explain your entry within 100 words. The Evaluation Panel will select winners based on how much the name reflects local characteristics and the degree of creativity. A total of 32 people will be selected for each city, including one first-place award winner, one second-place award winner, and two third-place award winners. The total prize money is KRW 70 million*, and winners will receive a Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is award.

      * In addition to the contest, if you select two of the five new cities you wish to live in, you will get a chance to win Gifticons and other souvenirs (total 600 winners)
