The IFEZ Authority will keep the “Songdo Severance Hospital Establishment TF” working with Yonsei Medical Center until the opening of the new Hospital. It plans on keeping the project on schedule, so that the Songdo Severance Hospital can usher in a new era of industry-university-research-legislature-military cooperation in Korea using its advanced medical equipment and international functions. Incheon plans to offer administrative support to ensure the success of the Songdo Severance Hospital with measures to dramatically improve access to the Hospital via public transportation, and open new pharmacies near the Hospital.

The Songdo Severance Hospital, expected to open sometime in December 2026, will feature a main building with 15 stories above ground, three stories below ground, and 800 hospital beds(total land area: 85,800 ) inside the Yonsei University International Campus in Songdo International City.
