Explore Religious Sites at Incheon Port Area and Enjoy a Café Tour

Incheon City is hosting a tourism event utilizing religious facilities around the Jung-gu Incheon Port area. 

The city plans to offer a 4,000 won café voucher to visitors who install the tourism application 'Incheon e-G', and then visit a 2km tourist course between Jung-gu Incheon Station and Dapdong Cathedral.

Within the course, visitors must visit the 'Korea Christian Centennial Memorial Tower' and 'Dapdong Cathedral'. Additionally, they need to pass through at least three out of the remaining six tourist spots such as Haan Cathedral, Border Stairs between Chinese and Japanese Settlements, and Noodle Platform.

The event will run until November this year.



Overseas Korean Students Engage in Active Exchange in Incheon

The exchange between next-generation overseas Korean youth visiting Incheon and local students is in full swing.

According to Incheon City, over 300 overseas Korean youth from around 70 countries visited Incheon on the 15th and are visiting Ara High School in Seo-gu and Yeil High School in Gyeyang-gu.

They have been engaging in conversations with local students in Incheon, enhancing mutual understanding of each other's cultures. 

Organized by the Overseas Koreans Agency, the "Homeland Training" event started on the 15th and will continue on the 22nd, 29th, and the 4th of next month. A total of 1,200 overseas Korean youth will stay in Incheon for 2 nights and 3 days before visiting Gyeongju and Seoul.



Over 1,000 Cumulative Cases: Incheon Issues Pertussis Alert

Pertussis (whooping cough) has rapidly spread in the Incheon area, surpassing a cumulative total of 1,000 cases. 

The majority of patients are concentrated within school-aged groups, prompting attention to whether the spread will diminish during the summer vacation period.

According to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, as of the 15th of this month, the cumulative number of pertussis cases in Incheon has reached 1,231.

This represents an increase from 210 cases in the third week of June to 1,000 cases over the past month.

Incheon City attributes the sharp rise in cases to increased testing for pertussis at medical institutions in the Incheon.



Multicultural Association-National Medical Center Society Provides Free Medical Services in Incheon

The Korea Multicultural Association, in collaboration with the National Medical Center's medical volunteer club 'The Neighbors', provided free medical services for multicultural families and migrant workers in Incheon at the Incheon Support Center for Foreign Residents on the 13th.

Treatments including medication, acupuncture, and medical consultations were provided to 54 patients from countries such as China, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Myanmar.

Also, a Mobile Clinic, supported and operated by the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare and Kyung Hee University Medical Center, provided ultrasound and gynecological treatments.
