Incheon Landscape Photography Contest to be Held Aiming to Promote Incheon’s Cultural Landscaps
From August 15 to 30, Incheon City will hold the ‘3rd Incheon Landscape Photography Contest.’ This contest is designed to promote Incheon’s cultural landscapes and build a consensus on the importance of landscape conservation. The contest features two themes: ‘Incheon Scenery We Want to Preserve,’ showcasing natural ecology, village landscapes, and cultural heritage, and ‘Incheon Scenery We Want to Boast About,’ highlighting iconic landmarks such as buildings, parks, railways, ports, and airports. All South Korean citizens interested in Incheon’s landscape are welcome to participate. Submissions can be made on the Incheon Urban Landscape Archive website from August 15 to 30.
Be Aware of Tidal Times and Wear a Life Jacket for Mudflat Activities
The Incheon Coast Guard announced that it will issue a safety accident risk advisory from the 21st to the 27th.
During this period, the tidal range will be larger than usual due to the spring tide, and the water flow will be faster, increasing the possibility of coastal accidents such as being stranded on mudflats.
The Incheon Coast Guard plans to strengthen sea and land patrols according to the tidal times and maintain emergency response readiness to prepare for coastal accidents and emergencies.
An official from the Incheon Coast Guard said, “Before engaging in mudflat activities, you should check the tide times and wear a life jacket,” and “You should not go to the sea alone, at night, or when there is fog.
Ganghwa Gun to Participated in Korea International Tourism Show
Ganghwa Gun in Incheon has announced its participation in the ‘Korea International Tourism Show (KITS).’ This large-scale event will feature around 200 organizations, including over 130 domestic and international local governments, foreign cities, and tourism-related companies and groups. Ganghwa Gun plans to promote its major tourist attractions and specialties, as well as its tourism programs, such as the DMZ Peace Road Program and the ‘Living Proudly on Ganghwa Island’ experience. A county official expressed hope that participating in the tourism show ahead of the peak vacation season will be a great opportunity to showcase the charm of Ganghwa Gun and attract tourists.
