Global Gaming Festival in Incheon: Pokémon GO Safari Zone Takes Over
Incheon Metropolitan City has announced that the global popular game event 'Pokémon GO Safari Zone' will be held from September 27 to September 29 at Songdo Central Park.
'Pokémon GO Safari Zone' is a large-scale offline event where game users from around the world can play together in person. This year's event is expected to attract around 45,000 domestic and international tourists to Incheon.
To facilitate the movement of tourists visiting Incheon during the event period, the Incheon city tour will be operated from September 23 to September 29, connecting Yeongjongdo, Songdo, and the Open Port. Additionally, various programs, including the game official route experience sharing event, will be available.
An Incheon official added, "We have put a lot of effort into preparing for this event and will do our best to ensure that participants create unforgettable memories in Incheon."
Incheon City Presents Art Exhibition Reexamining the Meaning of Redevelopment
The Incheon Urban History Museum in Incheon Metropolitan City has announced that it will hold the exhibition "Artists’ View of the City - A Book of Farewell" until September 22nd.
This exhibition, now in its sixth year since it began in 2019, features works themed around urban redevelopment.
The exhibition will be held in the Soam Hall and Aam Hall on the second floor of the Incheon Urban History Museum, and admission is free.
An official from the Incheon Urban History Museum stated, "We hope this exhibition, which showcases a slice of urban life, will provide an opportunity to reflect on the meaning and impact of redevelopment."

Incheon Metropolitan City has announced the introduction of a permit system for keeping fierce dogs, in accordance with the revised Animal Protection Act, to proactively prevent safety incidents involving such dogs.
The permit system for fierce dogs is being implemented to enhance citizen safety amid the increasing number of households with pets and the rising frequency of biting incidents.
The city will begin accepting applications for fierce dog permits in August and conduct more than 10 temperament evaluations starting in September, with plans to complete the permitting process by October 26.
An Incheon City official stated, "We urge citizens to actively cooperate to ensure the stable establishment of this system to enhance public safety."
4 Years Until Global Temperature Rises by 1.5°C... Incheon City Commits to Climate Crisis Response
Incheon City has emphasized the severity of the climate crisis by declaring its commitment to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045, five years ahead of the national target.
The "Climate Clock," which indicates the time remaining until the global average temperature increases by 1.5°C, has changed its deadline from five years to four years as of July 22.
Incheon City installed its first Climate Clock at the City Hall last year, becoming the first public institution to do so. This year, they have installed the second Climate Clock at Incheon Grand Park, a renowned eco-friendly park in the metropolitan area.
An Incheon City official stated, "The climate disasters caused by climate change, such as extreme rainfall, heatwaves, and wildfires, are severe. Overcoming the global crisis requires the active participation of citizens." The official urged citizens to actively participate in carbon neutrality efforts.
