NewJeans' agency, ADOR under Hive Label, announced today that "NewJeans' tracks 'Supernatural' and 'How Sweet' are steadily gaining popularity on major Billboard charts in the United States."

According to the latest charts released by Billboard on the 23rd local time, NewJeans' Japanese debut single title track 'Supernatural' has maintained its position at No. 24 on the 'Global Excluding U.S.' chart and ranked 54th on the 'Global 200' chart for 4 consecutive weeks. 

The songs included in the double single 'How Sweet' have ranked on global charts for 8 consecutive weeks.

Meanwhile, NewJeans also performed 'How Sweet' and 'Supernatural' at the '2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer,' held at Inspire Arena in Jung-gu, Incheon on the 21st.




Ganghwa Island Salted Shrimp Festival Returns After 6-Year Hiatus


The Ganghwa Island Salted Shrimp Festival, which was last held in 2018, is set to make a comeback after a six-year hiatus.

The festival, which began in 2004 and became a representative traditional event of Incheon City, had been unable to proceed in recent years due to factors such as COVID-19.

Celebrating its 16th edition, the Salted Shrimp Festival will commence with an opening ceremony on October 11th (Friday) and will run until the 13th (Sunday) at Naega-myeon, Oepo Port on Ganghwa Island.

An event organizer stated, "As we resume the festival after six years, we aim to captivate the audience with experiences that involve tasting, touching, and hearing."





Incheon Sorae Walking Trail Blocked for 5 Months, City Construct Detour at Cost of 1.5 Billion KRW


Residents have been complaining about inconvenience due to a walking trail near the Incheon Sorae Wetland Ecological Park being blocked by a landowner for the past five months. In response, Incheon city has decided to construct a detour route to alleviate the issue.

Incheon city has announced plans to pursue a construction project for a detour route connecting the Sorae Wetland Ecological Park and Seochang District 2, aiming for completion in the first half of next year.

The detour, designed in the form of a coastal deck over the water surface, will span approximately 180 to 200 meters in length and 2 to 3 meters in width. The project is estimated to cost 1.5 billion won.

An official from Incheon city explained, "Considering the prolonged inconvenience experienced by residents due to the blocked walking trail, we will proceed to install the detour route for now."




Incheon to Start 'Child Dream Allowance' Next Month... '1 Billion Won for Having a Child' Fully Implemented


In addition to the government's child allowance, Incheon will implement the 'Child Dream Allowance' project, providing 150,000 KRW per month to children aged 8 to 18 starting next month.

Incheon City announced that the 'Child Dream Allowance' project will be implemented from August 1st as part of the '1 Billion Plus iDream' policy, which supports all children born in Incheon with a total of 100 million won until they reach 18 years old.

The '1 Billion Plus iDream' project operates by combining existing national and local subsidies amounting to 72 million won, with an additional 28 million won from Incheon City's own budget, supporting expenses such as childcare fees and meal expenses.

Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok stated, "I expect that Incheon's proactive measures to address low birth rates will expand into a comprehensive national policy at the government level to encourage births."Bottom of Form
