2024 Pentaport Rock Festival Nearing

In the Population and Housing Census, foreigners who are counted as part of the population are those who have stayed in the country for more than three months or who have entered into the country with the intention of staying for more than three months. 





Naming Contest Opens for Incheon’s Third Land-Island Bridge 


Naming contest begins for Incheon’s Third Land-Island Bridge linking Incheon with Yeongjong, an island where the Incheon International Airport is located. 

Incheon’s Jung-gu has announced that it will hold a naming contest for the ‘Third Incheon Bridge’, scheduled to open in 2025. The contest will run from August 5th to 16th, inviting submissions for the official name of the bridge. 

Residents of Jung-gu are eligible for participation and each person may submit only one entry for the contest. 

Incheon’s Jung-gu plans to actively gather proposed suggestions and request that they be considered during consultations with relevant agencies, including the City of Incheon and the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority. 



110,000 Chickens, Pigs Died From Scorching Heat, Sixfold Increase From Last Year 

110,000 domestic animals died from scorching heat this year. 

Compared to the 18,893 deaths reported last year, approximately 5.76 times increased year-on-year. 

The sharp increase in livestock deaths this year is due to higher temperatures compared to last year. 

With the extreme heat likely to continue, livestock farmers and local governments have organized emergency response teams and have begun preventive measures to mitigate the damage.
