Incheon City Hosts 'World Korean Business Forum' on the 29th
The '2024 World Korean Business Forum (WKBF Incheon) and Export Conference', jointly organized by Incheon City and the Overseas Koreans Agency, will take place on the 29th at Songdo Convensia in Incheon.
This event will bring together overseas Korean businesspeople to build global networks, discuss cooperative strategies between overseas Korean and domestic companies, and propose policy recommendations.
The theme of this year's forum is 'Expanding K-Beauty and Strategies for Win-Win Growth in Korean Business'.
An Incheon city official stated, "Through this event, we aim to enhance Incheon’s status as a global business hub, expand local SMEs' overseas ventures, and strengthen the network among businesspeople."
Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority Closes Promotion Center on National Liberation Day
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Promotion Center will be closed on August 15th in observance of National Liberation Day.
According to the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, the promotion center is located on the 33rd floor of G-Tower, standing 157.9 meters high. The center is enclosed in glass, offering panoramic views of Songdo International Business District, Central Park, and the Waterfront. Visitors can enjoy stunning daytime views as well as spectacular sunsets and nightscapes.
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority plans to renovate the promotion center next year to not only highlight industry and infrastructure but also emphasize an international community, smart city with cutting-edge technologies, and the 2040 IFEZ Vision, making the center an even more attractive destination.
The Museum of Korea Immigration History Launches 'Rabbit’s Trip to the Dragon Palace' Program for Young Children
The Museum of Korea Immigration History in Incheon is introducing a special educational program for young children called ‘Rabbit’s Trip to the Dragon Palace,’ which is linked to its upcoming exhibition.
This program is designed in conjunction with the special exhibition marking the 160th anniversary of Koryo-saram immigration, set to open in October.
The 'Rabbit’s Trip to the Dragon Palace' program is designed to help young children engage with the exhibition and provide opportunities for multicultural education. Activities include watching the animation 'Rabbit and the Turtle', learning about who Koryo-saram are, discovering the performances held at the Koryo Theater, and visiting the special exhibition.

The Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education Hosts IUT Summer School for Multicultural STEM Students
The Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education is running the IUT (Inha University in Tashkent) Summer Camp in Uzbekistan from August 10 to 17 (local time) for ten multicultural high school students interested in STEM fields.
The IUT Summer Camp is designed for multicultural students with excellence in STEM to conduct team projects, participate in STEM classes conducted in English at the IUT Summer School, and share their research processes and results with Uzbek students, thereby facilitating cultural exchange.
An official from the Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education stated, 'To enhance global competencies such as diversity, openness, creativity, and self-directed learning, we will continue to actively run the 'Incheon Global Learning Schools,' which offer international experiential learning opportunities for students.'
