Incheon’s Wolmi Park Renovates Its Main Entrance and Entry Plaza 

Incheon City’s Wolmi Park Office has completed the “Wolmi Park Main Entrance and Entry Plaza Renovation Project,” which was undertaken to make the main entrance more spacious and to reduce the risk of traffic accidents. 

The project area spans approximately 150 meters from the main entrance of Wolmi Park to the information center. To enhance safety and convenience for visitors, new pedestrians pathways have been established, and space has been created for vehicles to turn around if they enter the area incorrectly. 

In particular, this project involved the removal of some of the walls installed by the military, which had been stationed in the area for over 50 years since the Korean War in 1950. 

Incheon Hosts a Special Sale of Premium Food Products During the Chuseok Holiday 

In celebration of the Chuseok holiday, Incheon City announced that it will hold a “Chuseok Premium Food Special Sale” both online and offline from August 23rd to September 20th. 

This event has been organized to promote outstanding products of food manufacturing and processing companies in Incheon and to boost their sales. 

This special sale will be conducted both as an offline sale, where products can be purchased directly at the central hall of the main building of City Hall, and as an online sale through “Incheon e-eum (Mall)”. 

An Incheon City official stated that they hope this sale to help open new markets for the food manufacturing industry and contribute to the revitalization of the local economy. 

Free Screening of the Movie, ‘Operation Chromite: Extended Edition’

Incheon City will celebrate the 74th anniversary of the Battle of Incheon with a special event. On September 8th at 2:00 PM, a free screening of the film “Operation Chromite: Extended Edition” will be held at CGV Incheon. 

This free screening is organized to raise awareness of the Battle of Incheon Memorial Week events by showcasing the famous film about the battle to the citizens.

Free screening is available through advance registration (via Naver Form), and the first 100 people to sign up starting August 26th will be accepted. 

Pre-registration Period Begins for Incheon Startup Week 2024 

Incheon City will host ”ISW SURF 2024,” Incheon’s largest startup event, from September 10th to 11th at Songdo Convensia, Sheraton Grand Incheon, and Songdo Oakwood Premier Incheon Hotel. 

This event is hosted by the Incheon City and the Incheon Regional Office of SMEs and Startups, organized by the Incheon Center for Creative Economy and Innovation and the Incheon Regional Startup Incubation Center Association, with the participation of 21 startup support institutions, over 130 companies including large, medium-sized enterprises, and startups.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a variety of startups and products from Incheon, gain the latest information through expert lectures aligned with startup trends, and directly meet with global investors to receive mentoring on funding and expert support.
