"Songdo Beer Festival" 9-Day Event Starts Today

Incheon’s representative summer festival, the "Songdo Beer Festival," starts today.

Known as the Songmac Festival, the Songdo Beer Festival is divided into the SONG ZONE, DO ZONE, GLOBAL ZONE, and LOCAL FOOD ZONE.

In the Song Zone, there will be daily performances by famous singers until the festival ends on the 31st.

You can also enjoy over 200 food booths, craft beer, and various types of drinks.

Incheon City Completes Construction of Coastal Path on Yeongheung Island, High Visitor Satisfaction

Incheon Metropolitan City recently completed the construction of a coastal path on Yeongheung Island in Ongjin County and conducted a satisfaction survey, revealing that visitors highly appreciate such marine-friendly facilities and strongly desire to visit again.

The coastal path construction project began in June last year with a total budget of 15 billion KRW.

This project is characterized by the creation of a 2,180-meter-long maritime tourist exploration route along a coastline that is difficult to access due to protruding rocks or high tides while preserving the natural coastal path.

This coastal path project is expected to increase tourist attraction and positively impact the local economy.

Incheon City Strengthens Citizen Safety with Active Promotion of 'Safe Stepping Stone' App

Incheon Metropolitan City is actively promoting the 'Safe Stepping Stone' app to citizens, emphasizing the importance of disaster preparations in unpredictable crises such as natural disasters and social emergencies.

The Safe Stepping Stone app is a smartphone application that provides comprehensive disaster safety information, including weather warnings by region, emergency disaster text alerts, disaster news, earthquake evacuation sites, and citizen action guidelines.

Anyone with a smartphone can easily access the app, and it is useful in everyday life, offering features such as an emergency reporting function and real-time information on operating hospitals and pharmacies.

2024 Neighborhood Business Community Revitalization Support Project Officially Launched

The Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it has selected 13 neighborhood business communities, including the Seochang Starlight Merchants Association, for the "2024 Neighborhood Business Community Revitalization Support Project."

The Neighborhood Business Community Revitalization Support Project was planned to discover distinctive local business districts and revitalize declining neighborhood business areas. It provides support in two areas tailored to the characteristics of each business district: ▲ joint marketing to revitalize the business district and ▲ projects to improve the business district's environment.

From August 24th to the end of October, the selected communities will carry out joint marketing activities to revitalize their business districts, such as busking performances, children's drawing contests, and online promotions using social media. They will also work on improving the business environment by creating nature-friendly streets where people can walk with coffee and installing digital business district information boards.
