Incheon Hosts the “2024 Incheon Citizen Festival” in Celebration of the 60th Citizens Day 


Incheon has announced that it will celebrate the “60th Incheon Citizens Day” with a grand event at Incheon Grand Park on October 12th. 

This year marks a significant milestone, commemorating 60 years since the inaugural Citizens Day celebrated in 1965 at Incheon Freedom Park, the first Western-style park in Korea. 

Under the theme “Together for 60 years, Together for 100 more”, the festivities will kick off with a “Citizen Happiness Week”, featuring a variety of engaging programs over the two weeks leading up to Citizens Day. This year’s celebration is designed as an interactive festival where all citizens can see, hear, enjoy, and participate in a wide range of activities. 





Incheon Enhances Walking Environment by Early Removal of Ginkgo Nuts 


Incheon has announced the implementation of a rapid response team to remove ginkgo nuts ahead of schedule, addressing the complaints associated with the unpleasant odors that arise every autumn. This initiative will be carried out by October. 

The response team consists of team leaders and staff from the street tree management units across various districts. They will use specialized equipment, including tree shakers, fruit harvesting net, and poles, to prioritize the collection of ginkgo nuts in publicly used facilities such as bus stops, crosswalks, schools, and residential neighborhoods. 

An official from Incheon remarked that by proactively harvesting the ginkgo nuts, the city aims to enhance the positive contributions of these trees while creating a pleasant and attractive streetscape that benefits our community. 




Logistics Industry Concert Set for September 27th at Incheon National University’s Songdo Campus


The “2024 Logistics Industry Talk Concert”, showcasing the latest trends in logistics and sharing successful cases of startups, will take place on September 27th at 2 PM in the large lecture hall of the Faculty Lounge at Incheon National University. 

This event serves as a platform for dialogue among logistics companies, institutions, university students, job seekers, and aspiring entrepreneurs, aiming to cultivate specialized talent in the logistics sector. It is hosted by Incheon City and the Incheon Chamber of Commerce, with support from the Incheon Logistics Research Society, the Incheon Regional Human Resource Development Committee, and Incheon National University. 

An official from Incheon remarked that they hope that attendees will uncover new opportunities in logistics innovation and global business. 





“2024 Dream Park Chrysanthemum Festival” Takes Place From October 2nd to 3th at the Capital Region Landfill 


Incheon is excited to announce “2024 Dream Park Chrysanthemum Festival”, themed “Autumn, Flower Road DREAM”, set to run from October 2nd for 12 days at the Wildflower Garden of the Capital Region Landfill in Seo-gu, Incheon. 

Returning after six years, this year’s festival will feature a vibrant display of flowers along with diverse cultural programs to celebrate the beauty of the wildflower garden in the fall. 

The festival will be open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM, offering visitors an expansive 468,000 square meters filled with autumn blossoms, including chrysanthemums, goldenrod, mugwort, cosmos and yellow cosmos.
