Hosting a Unity Gathering, “Tongil-Eoul Madang”, with Citizens


Incheon will hold the “2024 Unity Gathering” on October 12th at the outdoor plaza of the Incheon Culture and Arts Center. 

This event is organized to celebrate the 60th Citizen’s Day and is linked to the Citizen Happiness Week, aiming to raise awareness of the importance of unification and promote a positive perception among citizens. 

The event will kick off with a celebratory performance, “We, United” by a volunteer art troupe composed of 11 North Korean defectors, followed by a Taekwondo demonstration by the youth Asura Taekwondo Team, aimed at promoting unification and enhancing the atmosphere of the event. 




Incheon City Museum Lends 34 Artifacts for a Special Hanbok Exhibition in Yokohama, Japan 


The Incheon City Museum announced that it has loaned and exhibited 34 items, including 18 pieces of women’s hanbok and accessories, for the special exhibition “Memories of Chima Jeogori” at the Eurasia Cultural Center in Yokohama, Japan, from October 4th 2024, to January 5th 2025. 

This exhibition is organized to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the sisterhood relation between Incheon and Yokohama and to expand cultural exchange between the two cities.  

The artifacts from the Incheon City Museum featured in this exhibition include 34 items such as a Joseon Dynasty women’s jeogori, hairpins, norigae (traditional ornaments), and modern women’s hanbok. 




Incheon City Choir: The Essence of Jazz Ensemble Filled with Autumn Scents!


On October 24th, a jazz performance by the Incheon City Choir will be held at the Concert Hall of Art Center Incheon. 

At the 188th regular concert, you can enjoy pieces that evoke the fall mood, such as “Autumn Leaves,” as well as original jazz a capella ensemble works like “Dance” and “I Got Rhythm”.

Incheon Strengthens Support for Makgeolli Production 


Incheon announced that it will strengthen administrative and financial support for makgeolli production to develop the local traditional liquor industry into a high-value-added sector. 

Traditional liquor is made by agricultural management entities or producer groups, using agricultural products that are either directly produced by them or sourced from the manufacturing location or nearby areas as the main ingredient. 

Since 2022, the city has been promoting the “Visiting Brewery Program,” which supports traditional liquor manufactures with environmental improvements, experience event development, and promotional video production.
