Incheon Economic Agency Partners with City of Glendale for Entertainment Industry and Economic Growth
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority signed an agreement with the City of Glendale at the Incheon Art Center on the 21st to promote economic development between the two regions through the entertainment industry.
This agreement was established to build an intergovernmental cooperation platform and provide it to the entertainment and related industries, so that both sides can grow together as cities for the free production, distribution, and consumption of global cultural content.
The Incheon Economic Agency plans to use this agreement as a basis for discussing continuous collaboration between two regions through active communication and networking among entertainment companies and related industries, as well as the establishment of a cooperation platform.
Incheon Strengthens Response Capabilities for Large-Scale Fire Disasters
Incheon announced that it will conduct the “Disaster Response Safety Korea Training and Emergency Rescue Comprehensive Training” on the 25th at 2 PM at the Buyeong Songdo Tower, in collaboration with the Incheon Fire Headquarters, Songdo Fire Station, and Yeonsu District, to enhance rapid initial response and the capabilities of related agencies in the event of a large-scale disaster.
This training has been organized to ensure disaster safety for tall buildings, which are increasing due to the development of Incheon’s free economic zone and urban growth.
The training will utilize YouTube live streaming technology to monitor on-site conditions in real-time, allowing for the simultaneous conduct of training for the operation for the Disaster Safety Countermeasure Headquarters in a manner similar to actual situations.
Incheon Distributes Over 1,900 Rabies Vaccines
Incheon is conducting a large-scale distribution of rabies vaccines to prevent rabies through wild animals.
Incheon announced that it will drop over 1,900 vaccines at 29 locations, including areas with sightings of wild animals such as raccoons and badgers, as well as areas with complaints, based on a prior demand survey.
The vaccines have been proven safe for pets; however, if a person touches them, the scent of vaccines may deter wild animals from consuming, and occasionally, they may cause itching or other reactions.
Incheon explained, “Raccoons, which are vectors for rabies, are classified as non-target wild animals, so their capture is prohibited.”
Bangkok International School Students Visit Incheon City Council
Students from Prasarnmit International School, located in Bangkok, Thailand, which is a sister city of Incheon, visited the Incheon Metropolitan City Council to engage in friendly exchange activities.
Established in July 1952, this school is a secondary institution that provides education in English and serves students who aspire to enter international programs at universities in Thailand or overseas universities.
The students toured various facilities, including the main conference hall of the Incheon City Council. An official from the Incheon City Council stated Thailand is a neighboring country and highlighted that Incheon and Bangkok are sister cities. Also, he mentioned that the Incheon City Council and the Bangkok City Council have maintained a strong cooperative relationship through delegation visits.
