Incheon Songdo Moonlight Park Activation Project Gaining Momentum
The Moonlight Park activation project in Incheon Songdo International City, which includes the construction of an RC (remote control) sports field and a park golf course, is gaining momentum with the resumption of detailed design services.
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) has announced plans to develop an RC sports field and an 18-hole park golf course at Moonlight Park in Songdo, aiming for completion by December next year.
IFEZ plans to finalize the design soon, incorporating adjustments such as modifying the slope from the road leading to the park to the waterway area.
Incheon City Launches Project to Establish 'Postal and Communications Museum'
Incheon City is moving forward with the establishment of the Postal and Communications Museum in the old Incheon Post Office building, which is celebrating its 101st anniversary. The museum is expected to be completed by 2027.
Starting in January next year, Incheon plans to begin a feasibility study and develop a basic plan for the museum, with the process slated for completion by June.
After the pre-assessment for the establishment of a public museum by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and the investment review by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, construction is scheduled to begin in October 2026, with the museum set to open in June 2027.
The Postal and Communications Museum will be located in the former Incheon Post Office building in Hang-dong 6-ga, Jung-gu, Incheon. The project is estimated to require a total of 9.8 billion KRW for restoration, reinforcement, and remodeling.
Incheon City Asks, "Were You Satisfied with Consumer Information?"
Incheon City is hosting an online event from December 2nd to 11th to prevent telecommunications financial fraud, such as voice phishing, among its citizens.
The event will feature a satisfaction survey on consumer information and a quiz based on recent cases of telecommunications financial fraud, with a focus on prevention methods. Participants will have the chance to win various prizes, including coffee coupons, through a random draw.
The city's Consumer Life Center, established in 2003, is dedicated to addressing consumer issues. Its main responsibilities include providing consumer counseling, damage relief, education, and information to protect citizens from physical and financial harm and to promote healthy consumption habits. Additionally, Incheon became the first city in the country to establish a social networking service (SNS) aimed at preventing consumer damage.
Incheon City Donates Special Red Cross Fee for 2025
On December 3rd, Incheon City donated 10 million KRW in special fees to the Incheon branch of the Korean Red Cross during the "Jump (JUMP) 2025 Red Cross Incheon" event held at Incheon City Hall.
The donation ceremony marked the beginning of the 2025 Red Cross fundraising campaign and was organized to encourage participation in spreading the culture of sharing within the community.
As of October this year, the Korean Red Cross Incheon branch had raised 2.114 billion KRW, achieving 111.2% of its target of 1.91 billion KRW. This reflects the active participation of Incheon citizens and organizations in the Red Cross fundraising efforts, demonstrating the warm spirit of sharing within the community.
