Incheon Office of Education to Distribute Free Laptops to Students This Year"
The Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education announced that it will supply 52,712 laptops to 4th-grade elementary school students and high school freshmen in time for the new academic year. With this year's distribution, every student from 4th grade to 12th grade in Incheon will have their own laptop.
To enhance accessibility to after-sales service (AS), charging storage units will be installed in classrooms, and a dedicated call center will be operated. The Office of Education also plans to install software to block harmful information on the laptops and will conduct assessments of students' internet usage habits, providing education and counseling to prevent digital addiction.

Incheon Metropolitan City has been awarded the top "S grade" in the "2024 Regional Industry Customized Job Creation Support Project" by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, solidifying its reputation as a model for local job creation.
The city received high praise for its innovative achievements in the "specialized root industry" and "automobile win-win cooperation" sectors.
Incheon's "Root Industry Job Center" and "Root Company Consulting" initiatives were lauded for addressing the chronic manpower shortages faced by small root enterprises due to aging populations, and the dominance of large corporations.
Incheon Hosts Special Food Sale Event for 2025 Lunar New Year
To celebrate the upcoming Lunar New Year, Incheon Metropolitan City will hold a special sale event featuring excellent local foods.
This event will take place on January 16-17 from 9 AM to 6 PM at the city hall building.
With 22 companies participating, visitors can purchase products like rice cakes, kimchi, sauces, and side dishes at prices 20-30% lower than usual.
In addition, 5% of the proceeds will be donated to support less privileged members of the community.
Incheon National University to Maintain Tuition Rates for 2025; Inha University May Increase Fees
While several major private universities in Seoul are moving to raise their tuition fees this year, Incheon National University has opted to freeze its fees.
According to Incheon National University, the university's Tuition Review Committee has decided to freeze this year's tuition fees at last year's rates.
The university explained that the decision was made to reduce the financial strain on students and parents given the current economic difficulties.
