IFEZ and TIPA Team Up for K-Bio Lab Hub Pilot Project


The IFEZ announced its partnership with the Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs or TIPA through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote the pilot project for the 'K-Bio Lab Hub,' a facility designed to support pharmaceutical and biotechnology startups.

IFEZ targets the opening of the K-Bio Lab Hub at Yonsei University's International Campus in Songdo International City by 2028. The pilot project will be managed by TIPA.

TIPA formed the K-Bio Lab Hub Project Promotion Team in February last year to prepare for nurturing startups.

From this year, both parties will provide space for eight pharmaceutical and biotechnology startups in the Industry-Academic Cooperation Hall at Yonsei University for pilot operations.






Incheon City Aims to Host F1 Grand Prix in 2027, Kicks Off Feasibility Study This Month


Incheon Metropolitan City brings its efforts in full swing to host the prestigious Formula 1 (F1) Grand Prix for the first time in 2027. This month, the city will commission a feasibility study and initial planning process for the event.

The feasibility study is scheduled to begin next month and will take five months to complete. 

By mid-2025, the city plans to establish a basic framework for the F1 event and sign an MOU with the F1 Group. The city will then proceed to negotiate specific hosting conditions and conduct necessary administrative procedures for national funding support, including feasibility verification by a designated government agency.






Incheon Education Office Announces New Safety and Support Measures


Following the tragic death of an elementary student in Daejeon, the Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education held an emergency session and announced a series of measures aimed at enhancing student safety and providing support to teachers.

Key initiatives include the improvement of emergency bell systems in care rooms at elementary and special schools. Furthermore, the office will ensure that at least two care staff members are present for students participating in after-school programs.

The Incheon Education Office also plans to designate a specialized hospital for teachers' mental health by mid-2025 and to boost the Teacher Mental Health Review Committee.






'Healing Writing' Program to Be Held at Gyeoyang Library Starting March


Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education's Gyeoyang Library will run a 'Healing Writing' program for two months beginning in March. 

The program is designed to help citizens improve their writing skills and promote a culture of reading, walking, and writing. Participants will learn to discover their personal writing style and have the opportunity to publish their manuscripts as books.

The program runs from March 7th to April 25th, from 7 PM to 9 PM.
