Incheon City Unveils 2025 Tuberculosis Control Plan
Incheon Metropolitan City has developed an enhanced "2025 Tuberculosis Control Plan," incorporating strategies for tuberculosis prevention, patient care, and proactive screenings for high-risk populations.
Incheon's sustained policy efforts have led to a continuous decrease in tuberculosis incidence rates.
The plan prioritizes tuberculosis screenings for seniors aged 65 and above, especially those in long-term care or receiving medical aid, and extends to other vulnerable groups like the elderly living alone and those with low incomes, aiming to eliminate any gaps in coverage.
Support for Switching Children's School Vehicles to LPG
Incheon Metropolitan City has announced that it will accept applications for the "Children's School Vehicle LPG Conversion Support Project" from March 10th to March 21st. This initiative aims to reduce fine dust and protect children's health.
Vehicle owners who scrap their diesel vehicles and purchase new LPG ones for use as children's school buses in Incheon City are eligible for this support.
Incheon City plans to support a total of 29 vehicles, providing 3 million won per vehicle.
Applications can be submitted from March 10th to March 21st by visiting the Air Quality Preservation Division at Incheon City Hall or sending registered mail.
Michuhol Library Presents Online Lecture on Financial Planning
Incheon Metropolitan City's Michuhol Library will present a special lecture series titled "Financial Planning for an Extended Lifespan" aimed at helping citizens achieve economic stability as they age.
The series is designed to provide practical solutions for asset management in light of the increased life expectancy associated with aging.
The lectures will be held online via Zoom every Thursday at 7 PM, from April 10th to April 24th, for a total of three sessions.
Ganghwa Island Pursues Establishment of National Goryeo Museum
The process to establish the National Ganghwa Goryeo Museum on Ganghwa Island, a prominent region steeped in the history of the Goryeo Dynasty, will be in full swing.
Ganghwa-gun will initiate a signature campaign next month to drive efforts for the establishment of the museum. In May, a policy forum will be held to discuss the importance of building the museum, followed by the submission of a construction proposal to the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
Ganghwa-gun is committed to creating a space that focuses on the history, identity, and cultural heritage of the Goryeo Dynasty, centered around the National Museum.
