Incheon City Seeks Participants for ‘Citizen Tree Caretaker’ Program
Incheon City is recruiting ‘Citizen Tree Caretaker’ volunteers to help improve the urban environment and ensure the healthy growth of street trees.
This initiative is part of a citizen participation program where Incheon residents directly engage in protecting and maintaining street trees, thus contributing to the enhancement of green spaces and the creation of sustainable urban forests.
Participants will be involved in various activities, including reporting damage to trees, pest and disease monitoring, removing illegal advertisements, and maintaining the green areas around the trees. Volunteers who perform exceptionally well or contribute significant hours will be eligible for recognition by the mayor at the end of the year.
Incheon City Launches Healing Agriculture Education for Citizens
Incheon Agricultural Technology Center is expanding its efforts to promote the value of healing agriculture through a new educational program aimed at citizens.
The program will provide basic theoretical lessons on healing agriculture, followed by hands-on experience at local farms, to deepen understanding of its therapeutic effects.
The 2025 Spring Healing Agriculture Program will run from April 16 to June 18, and 40 participants will be selected for this unique learning opportunity.
Micheohol Library to Host Original Illustrations Exhibit by Lee Myung-hwan
Incheon’s Micheohol Library is presenting an exhibit of original illustrations from the picture books of Lee Myung-hwan, titled “Us, Between, and Beyond”, until May 31.
This exhibit, the first of the year, features works from Lee’s acclaimed books such as “Masonry”, “Gyeong-ok”, and “Family”, showcasing his unique imagination and profound insights into human relationships.
The exhibition is being held at the library’s Oullim Room on the first floor, as part of an ongoing initiative to highlight prominent domestic picture book artists.
Incheon City Symphony Orchestra Announces 2025 Season Part 2
The Incheon City Symphony Orchestra has revealed its 2025 Season Part 2 lineup, which includes two regular performances in April and May, a Family Concert for Family Month in May, and a Chamber Orchestra performance celebrating the reopening of the Incheon Cultural & Arts Center Small Performance Hall.
The Chamber Orchestra’s pilot performance, titled “For Culture Leaders”, will be free of charge, while tickets for the other events are priced at 10,000 KRW per seat.
