Incheon Deploys 49 New Public Health Doctors to Underserved Areas

On April 9, Incheon announced the deployment of 49 new public health doctors for 2025, aiming to strengthen healthcare services in island and rural areas with limited medical infrastructure.

The newly assigned doctors include 22 in general medicine, 14 in dentistry, and 13 in Korean Medicine.

Under the public health doctor system, these physicians fulfill their military service by providing essential healthcare in medically underserved regions.






Small Theater at Incheon Culture & Arts Center Reopens

The Incheon Culture & Arts Center has announced that it will host three trial performances in April and May to mark the reopening of its small theater.

These performances aim to give citizens a first look at the newly renovated space ahead of its full-scale operation, while also serving as a test for the venue’s acoustics and overall technical systems.

All trial performances are free of charge, but advance reservations must be made through the center’s official website.





Women's Welfare Center Wins Five Medals at Incheon Skills Competition

The Incheon Women’s Welfare Center announced that its social education program participants won five medals at the 2025 Incheon Skills Competition, which began on April 7.

A total of eight students competed in two categories—traditional Korean dress (hanbok) and fashion design—with five of them earning awards.

The winners have been training under the center’s vocational programs since 2023, steadily honing their skills under expert guidance and showcasing their talent at this year’s competition.






IFEZ to Revise Land Use Plan for Advanced Industry Cluster in Songdo

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) has announced plans to revise the land use plan for the advanced industry cluster in Zone 11 of Songdo International City.

Under the new proposal, roads surrounding blocks Ki17 and Ki18 will be removed, and the area will be consolidated into a single industrial site spanning approximately 187,830 square meters.

An official from IFEZ stated that, following consultations with relevant agencies, the revised development plan for Songdo is expected to be finalized and officially announced later this month.
