Incheon Selected as Host City for the 2026 World Korean Business Convention


Incheon has been officially selected as the host of the 24th World Korean Business Convention in 2026, organized by the Overseas Koreans Agency.

The convention is the largest global economic networking event for Korean entrepreneurs, bringing together around 3,000 participants—including overseas Korean business leaders from 64 countries and domestic companies.

This will be the third time Incheon hosts the event, following previous editions in 2009 and 2018. The convention will return to Songdo Convensia in eight years.






Incheon City Holds Special Training on Workplace Power Abuse Prevention and Proactive Governance


On April 17, the Incheon Metropolitan Government held a special training session at City Hall for mid-level and prospective managers under the theme, “A Workplace Without Power Abuse, Change Driven by Proactive Governance.”

The program aimed to eliminate abusive practices within the organization and promote citizen-centered, proactive administration. It was part of a broader effort to foster a culture of integrity and fairness in public service.

During the session, four civil servants recognized as outstanding proactive administrators in 2024 took the stage as instructors. They shared personal stories about what motivated them to pursue proactive governance, the challenges they faced, and the results they achieved—drawing deep empathy from attendees.







Incheon Expands Disability Registration Service


The Incheon Metropolitan Government has announced the expansion of its “Supportive Companion: Disability Registration Service Visit” to better assist citizens who are in the blind spots of the welfare system.

First launched in 2024 as the nation’s first initiative of its kind, the program was created to improve accessibility to the disability registration process for individuals with mobility issues who have no family members to accompany them.

Starting this year, the program’s coverage has been expanded—not only to include unregistered individuals, but also to support those already registered who require re-evaluation or updated diagnoses. Additionally, previous age limit for eligibility have been lifted.






Incheon Grand Park, Children’s Zoo to Reopen on April 22


The Incheon Grand Park has announced that the Children’s Zoo at Incheon Grand Park will reopen to the public on April 22, after a temporary closure due to Avian Influenza (AI) prevention measures.

The zoo is home to 159 animals across 33 species, including fennec foxes, meerkats, Japanese macaques, squirrel monkeys, sika deer, eagles, and Eurasian eagle-owls.

Operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the zoo is closed every Monday, as well as on Lunar New Year’s Day and Chuseok.
