The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority held a safety and health management review meeting on October 29 at G-Tower in Songdo International City.
The session aimed to assess compliance with safety obligations under the Serious Accidents Punishment Act across 59 facilities under the authority’s jurisdiction and to discuss improvement measures.
Officials also shared updates on legal compliance and ongoing safety inspections for construction projects, contracts, and outsourced services to prevent major industrial accidents.

Incheon City will host the 2025 Women’s Futsal in Incheon tournament on November 1 at the futsal and soccer fields of Incheon Grand Park.
With women’s participation in sports steadily increasing, the event aims to promote grassroots development of women’s amateur futsal and strengthen its sustainability.
This year’s competition has expanded significantly, growing from 27 teams last year to 50. Teams of five players each will compete in 10 preliminary groups, followed by tournaments among the top 16 and middle 16 teams to determine the final champion.
Jung-gu to Host “Forest Concert at Baegunsan Healing Forest” on November 1
Incheon Jung-gu will hold the Forest Concert at Baegunsan Healing Forest on November 1 at San 120, Unnam-dong.
The event, part of the district’s 2025 Forest Healing Program, will begin at 2 p.m. and marks the first of its kind this year.
Visitors will be able to enjoy both a live concert in the forest and a series of professional forest healing activities designed to promote relaxation and well-being.
Seo-gu Offers Mental Health Support for Residents Affected by Summer Flooding
Incheon Seo-gu provided on-site mental health support from October 20 to 28 for residents affected by severe flooding during the summer.
The program took place at five local community centers in the most heavily damaged neighborhoods.
It included mental health assessments to measure depression and stress levels, counseling sessions to support emotional recovery, and information to help residents regain stability and well-being in their daily lives.
Seo-gu Extends Free Lease Period for Public Future Hope Daycare Center
Incheon Seo-gu has signed an agreement with the Future Welfare Foundation, affiliated with the Metropolitan Landfill Residents Support, to extend the free lease period for the public Future Hope Daycare Center.
The lease, originally set from March 1, 2017, to February 2027, has been extended by 25 months, now running through the end of March 2029.
Located at 227 Dream-ro, the center has a capacity of 98 children, with 50 currently enrolled, and provides inclusive care for children with disabilities, infant care, and other specialized services to meet diverse childcare needs.
Incheon City Gas to Expand Gas Supply in Ganghwa-gun
Incheon City Gas plans to continue expanding its natural gas supply in Ganghwa-gun to improve energy welfare for local residents.
Ganghwa-gun, part of Incheon’s island regions, includes Ganghwado, Gyodongdo, and Seokmodo, where geographic conditions have posed challenges to infrastructure expansion.
A company representative said the expansion efforts aim to enhance residents’ convenience and overall energy welfare in the area.
