Incheon Metropolitan City Museum marks 80th anniversary

Incheon completes spring safety inspections at 810 parks


Incheon Metropolitan City has completed seasonal safety inspections at 810 parks across the city from February through March in preparation for increased spring visitors. The inspections were conducted proactively to ensure that the parks are safe and pleasant recreational spaces for citizens. Key checks included identifying ground subsidence and cracks caused by thawing conditions, assessing aging facilities for repair or replacement, and removing dead or hazardous trees that pose safety risks.





Incheon launches mobile housing welfare consultation service


Incheon Metropolitan City will operate a mobile housing welfare consultation service to improve citizen’s access to housing support programs. Run by the Incheon Metropolitan Housing Welfare Center, the service visits local sites such as district offices, administrative centers, welfare facilities, and subway stations to provide customized consultations, especially for those with limited mobility or access to information. Services include guidance on public rental housing applications, housing upgrades for vulnerable groups, home repair and environment improvements, and general housing welfare policies. When necessary, the service also connects residents with relevant agencies to ensure practical support.





Incheon to continue financial support for small business owners


The second phase of Incheon’s “Hui-mang Incheon Small Business Management Stabilization Fund” for 2026 will be provided starting March 30. The program aims to ease financial burdens of small business owners and support local economic recovery amid slowing growth and rising raw material costs. The initiative is being carried out in three phases throughout the year, with the first phase, worth 100 billion won, already fully exhausted due to high demand. The second phase will provide 114.5 billion won in funding, with around 3,000 businesses expected to benefit from the financial support.





Incheon conducts final on-site checks ahead of integrated health & social care rollout


Incheon Metropolitan City is carrying out final on-site inspections to ensure the successful launch of the nationwide integrated health and social care service program set to launch on March 27. From March 25 to 26, the city will inspect administrative welfare centers at the local level to review the overall service delivery system. The city has already established a solid institutional foundation through measures such as ordinance enactment, dedicated task forces, and the placement of specialized personnel. Any issues identified during inspections will be addressed immediately, and ongoing monitoring systems will be implemented after launch to ensure service stability.





Incheon to expand bus information displays to improve access in underserved areas


Incheon Metropolitan City will invest 2.06 billion won to expand and upgrade its bus information terminal (BIT) system to improve public transportation access in underserved areas. The project aims to reduce regional disparities in bus arrival information by installing displays in areas with limited transit access. By providing real-time bus information more conveniently, the city expects to enhance overall user experience. A total of 220 new bus information displays will be installed between March and December this year.
