Incheon Expands i-Bada Pass Eligibility to Former Ongjin and Ganghwa Residents
Eligibility for the "i-Bada Pass," which allows passengers to use Incheon’s coastal ferry routes at public transportation rates, will be expanded. The Incheon Metropolitan Government announced that starting next month, former residents of Ongjin-gun and Ganghwa-gun, as well as people with family ties to the areas, will receive the same ferry fare benefits currently available to Incheon residents. Introduced last year, the i-Bada Pass program reduces one-way ferry fares to 1,500 won for Incheon residents using coastal passenger ferries on 14 routes. Residents of other regions currently receive subsidies covering 70 percent of the regular fare. Until now, former residents of Ongjin and Ganghwa received the same 70 percent fare discount as non-Incheon residents. Beginning next month, both former residents and family members with ties to the islands will be eligible for the 1,500-won one-way fare.
