Incheon’s MICE industry is making significant progress. The MICE events held in Incheon in 2024 reached 6,827, marking a 16.5% increase from last year. This is a remarkable 100.6% increase from 2019, before COVID-19, demonstrating a quick recovery and a growing trend in Incheon’s MICE industry. 

인천시의 MICE산업은 눈에 띄는 성장을 이어가고 있다.

2024년 인천에서 개최된 마이스 행사는 6,827건으로 전년 대비 16.5% 증가했다. 이는 코로나19 이전인 2019년과 비교해도 무려 100.6% 증가한 수치로, 인천 마이스 산업의 빠른 회복과 성장세를 입증한다

A series of major global events continues this year, including ‘2025 NU SKIN Global Live,’ the largest corporate conference ever held. It marks the 40th anniversary of NU SKIN Enterprise, with the participation of 11,000 attendees from 8 countries attracting significant attention. Additionally, various international forums, including ‘2024 APAC Wind Energy Summit (APWSS),’ which will be held in Korea for the first time, are taking place at Songdo ConvensiA.

올해에도 대형 글로벌 행사가 이어지고 있다. 대표적으로 역대 최대 규모의 기업회의인 ‘2025 뉴스킨 글로벌 라이브’가 있다. 이 행사는 뉴스킨 엔터프라이즈 40주년을 기념하는 자리로 총 8개국에서 11,000여 명이 참가해 주목을 받았다. 또한 국내 최초로 열린 ‘2024 아시아·태평양 풍력써밋(APWSS)’을 비롯해 각종 국제 포럼들이 송도 컨벤시아에서 펼쳐지고 있다.

Incheon’s international profile is expected to rise further by hosting a series of major events, including ‘2027 IUGG General Assembly,’ the world’s largest geoscience conference, and the ‘2026 WFDSA General Assembly,’ the first global direct selling industry conference to be held in Asia.

앞으로도 세계 최대 지구과학 분야 학술회의인 ‘2027 IUGG 총회’와 아시아 최초로 열리는 전 세계 직접판매산업인의 총회인 ‘2026 WFDSA 총회’까지 굵직한 행사를 잇따라 유치하며 국제적 위상은 한층 높아질 전망이다.

‘2025 APEC INCHEON’ CONCLUDES SUCCESSFULLY

‘2025 APEC 인천회의’ 성공적으로 개최

The 2025 APEC High-Level Meetings and related events held at Songdo ConvensiA from July 26 to August 15 concluded successfully. During this time, a total of 200 meetings took place, including Ministerial Meetings on digital and AI, food security, and women’s economy.

지난 7월 26일부터 8월 15일까지 송도 컨벤시아에서 열린 2025 APEC 제3차 고위관리회의 및 관련 회의가 성공적으로 마무리됐다. 이 기간 동안 디지털·AI, 식량안보, 여성경제 등의 장관회의를 포함해 총 200여 개의 회의가 열렸다. 

Incheon established a dedicated task force and worked closely with related organizations to make thorough preparations. On-site, 138 citizen volunteers ensured the convenience of participants while guiding them kindly.

인천시는 전담 TF를 신설하고 유관기관과 긴밀히 협력하며 철저히 준비했으며, 현장에서는 시민 자원봉사자 138명이 배치돼 참가자들을 친절하게 안내하며 편의를 지원했다. 

The Incheon Promotion Center in front of the main venue at Songdo ConvensiA also drew significant attention. It showcased Incheon’s development since the opening of Jemulpo Port, including strategic projects like the iPlus Dream Policy and Incheon Free Economic Zone, emphasizing its impressive progress. 

송도 컨벤시아 주 회의장 앞에 마련한 인천시 홍보관 역시 큰 관심을 끌었다. 제물포 개항 이후 인천의 발전 과정과 전략사업, 아이플러스드림 정책, 인천경제자유구역 등을 소개해 눈부신 성장의 발자취를 보여주었고, 동시에 인천의 도시브랜드를 알리는 계기가 됐다

At the same time, it promoted Incheon’s city brand. Additionally, the Private-Public Combined Exhibition Hall displayed Incheon’s companies in advanced industries such as biotech and AI, alongside traditional products like liquor and social enterprises, generating positive responses from participants.

The official tourism program was held 25 times, giving 55 participants the chance to explore major attractions in Incheon, such as Songdo, the Open Port Area, Ganghwado Island, and Bupyeong, as well as enjoy performances and sports events to experience the city’s diverse offerings.

또한 민관 통합전시관에서는 인천의 바이오, AI 등 첨단산업 기업, 인천의 전통주와 사회적기업 제품 등이 전시돼 참가자들의 호응을 얻었다. 또한 총 25회의 공식 관광프로그램이 운영돼 55명의 참가자들이 송도, 개항장, 강화도, 부평 등 인천의 주요 명소를 둘러보고 공연과 스포츠 경기를 관람하며 다체로운 경험을 즐겼다.  

Meanwhile, the ‘APEC Financial Ministers’ Meeting and Structural Reform Ministerial Meeting will be held around Yeongjongdo Island from October 21 to 23, and Incheon is preparing for successful events with on-site support.

한편 10월 21일부터 23일까지 영종도 일원에서 열리는 ‘APEC 재무 및 구조개혁 장관회의’가 열릴 예정으로, 인천시는 현장 밀착형 지원을 통해 성공적인 개최를 준비하고 있다.

HOSTING LARGE-SCALE INTERNATIONAL EVENTS BACK-TO-BACK

대규모 국제행사 연이어 유치 

Incheon will keep hosting major international events and gatherings of Koreans worldwide.

앞으로도 세계 한인들이 모이는 대형 국제행사가 인천에서 이어진다. 

The 29th Korea Business Expo, taking place from October 27 to 30, will be a hub for exchange where Korean businesspeople affiliated with the World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Association (World-OKTA), which has 150 branches in 71 countries worldwide, will meet overseas buyers. To help SMEs within its scope find opportunities abroad, Incheon is preparing initial buyer matching consultations, exhibition booths, investment briefings, global employment sessions, industrial tours, and cultural performances.

오는 20월 27일부터 30일까지 진행되는 제29차 세계한인경제인 대회는 세계 71개국 150개 지회를 둔 세계한인경제무역협회(월드옥타) 소속 한인 경제인과 해외 바이어가 한자리에 모이는 교류의 장이다. 인천은 관내 중소기업의 해외 진출을 지원하기 위해 사전 바이어 매칭 상담, 전시부스 설치, 투자유치 설명회, 글로벌 취업 설명회, 산업시찰 및 문화공연 등을 준비하고 있다.

Additionally, the 24th World Korean Business Convention, scheduled for April 2026, will take place over three days at Songdo ConvensiA. Held in Incheon for the third time after 2009 and 2018, it is the largest economic network event for Koreans, with about 3,000 participants, including overseas Korean businesspeople from 64 countries and domestic entrepreneurs. Incheon, in partnership with the Overseas Koreans Agency, is thoroughly preparing for the entire event, including a welcome dinner, transportation and logistics support, accommodations, and volunteer operations.

또한 2026년 4월 예정인 제24회 세계한인비즈니스 대회가 3일간 송도컨벤시아에서 열린다. 2009년과 2018년에 이어 세 번째로 인천에서 개최되는 이번 대회는 64개국의 재외동포 경제인과 국내 기업인 등 약 3,000명이 참가하는 한민족 최대 규모의 경제 네트워크 행사다. 인천시는 재외동포청과 협력해 환영 만찬, 교통‧물류 지원, 숙박, 자원봉사 운영 등 행사 전반을 체계적으로 준비하고 있다.
