Incheon Attaches Burn-Prevention Stickers On Playground Equipment to Prevent Burns In Children

Incheon Metropolitan City has announced that it will attach burn hazard warning and temperature transformation stickers to outdoor playground equipment within the city to prevent burn accidents caused by the heated playground equipment during the summer.

Even in hot weather, children who frequently engage in outdoor activities are exposed to the risk of burn accidents due to contact with playground equipment heated by strong sunlight or friction on their skin.

In response to burn accidents, Incheon has distributed burn hazard warning stickers and temperature transformation stickers to outdoor playgrounds with stainless steel equipment, requiring their attachments.

An Incheon City official advised, “To prevent safety accidents involving children, user awareness is essential. If the temperature of the playground equipment is high, we recommend avoiding the play and using the equipment safely.”
