Upcoming ‘2024 Youth Concert’ by Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra
The Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra, in partnership with the Incheon Student Education and Culture Center, will hold the <2024 Youth Concert> during the summer vacation.
This concert will feature friendly explanations, performances, and captivating themes to showcase the attraction and depth of classical music to young audiences.
The event will be held on August 14th at 7 PM at the Ssarijae Hall of the Incheon Student Education and Culture Center.
Admission is free, and tickets can be reserved in advance for up to four per person on the Incheon Culture and Arts Center website.
Incheon to Celebrate 74th Anniversary of Operation Chromite
Incheon City, with the support of the Republic of Korea Navy and Marine Corps, the Ministry of Unification, Incheon Metropolitan Office, and other organizations, will hold the ‘74th Anniversary of Operation Chromite Commemoration Week’ from September 6th to September 12th.
The main ceremony will take place on September 11th at Pier 1·8 (Open Port Plaza).
Starting in August, Incheon City will develop five courses to attract citizens and promote the event through various channels, such as program reflet ad website.
Incheon Hosts 79th Liberation Day Celebration
Incheon City has announced that it will hold a celebration for the 79th Liberation Day at the Art Center Incheon Concert Hall on August 15th.
The event will be attended by around 1,200 people, including descendants of independence activists, heads of veterans’ organizations, local members of the National Assembly, heads of institutions and organizations, city council members, and other key figures and citizens. They will honor the noble spirit of patriotism of the ancestors and reflect on the significance of liberation.
An official from Incheon City said, “This Liberation Day will be celebrated under the slogan ‘The Cry of That Day, the Wish for Peace Towards the Future.’ We hope that many citizens will join us in celebrating this significant day of liberation.
Cooling Shelters to Operate on Subway Lines 1 and 2
The Incheon Transit Corporation has announced the operation of ‘cooling shelters’ at 16 stations on Subway Line 1 and 11 stations on Line 2 until the end of this month. These shelters will be equipped with large fans to prevent heat-related illnesses and will provide items such as fans, wet wipes, and bottled water. A representative from the corporation stated, “We will ensure that citizens exhausted by the heat can cool down at the subway stations.
