Incheon Holds a Mugunghwa Exhibition to Mark the 79th Anniversary of Liberation
Incheon’s Gyeyang Park Office will hold a Mugunghwa (rose of Sharon) Exhibition in front of Incheon City Hall’s Aetul Square for 10 days from August 10th to 18th to commemorate the 79th National Liberation Day.
This exhibition is organized to foster love and interest in the national flower, Mugunghwa, and to elevate its status. It will feature over 420 works, including 49 large potted Mugunghwa plants, 20 bonsai, and other Mugunghwa plants, all cultivated and grown by the Gyeyang Park Office.
On August 15th, at the outdoor plaza of the Incheon Art Center, where the Liberation Day celebration will be held, various events for citizen participation will take place, offering activities for the citizens to enjoy.

The Incheon City Choir’s “Cinema Adventure”, which will cool your mind and body from the heat, will be held.
During August when you want to sit in a cool theater and enjoy a movie or musical, an exciting stage of all-in-one will be offered.

6 of Incheon’s Dear Urban Forests Ranks in “50 Beautiful Urban Forests”
Six urban forests in Incheon, including Central Park Urban Forest, Wolmi Park Barrier-Free Urban Forest, World Peace Forest, Mansusan Barrier-Free Urban Forest, Incheon Grand Park Urban Forest, and Dream Park Wildflower Garden, have been selected as part of the “50 Beautiful Urban Forests” by the Korea Forest Service.
The Korea Forest Service evaluated 916 urban forests recommended by over 3,000 citizens and local governments based on public preference, accessibility, ecological health, usage, aesthetic value, and uniqueness and they selected the top 50 urban forests. Among the metropolitan cities, Incheon has the highest number of selected sites, with 6.
Incheon will hold an event inviting citizens to celebrate their ranking on “Top 50 Beautiful Urban Forests” from August 8th to September 8th.
Visit the urban forest, find the banner installed on-site, take a photo, and upload photos of the urban forest scenery on the Korea Forest Service social media account to get a chance to enter a draw and win a prize.
INSPIRE Brings Westlife to Korea in November
Westlife, known for their hits “You Raise Me Up” and “Uptown Girl”, is coming to Korea.
Mohegan INSPIRE Entertainment Resort announced that it will host Westlife’s concert at the INSPIRE Arena in Yeongjong, Incheon on November 23rd.
Westlife, coming back to Korea after 13 years, is a global pop band from Ireland that has been beloved for the past 25 years and has produced numerous hit songs.
