IFEZ Happy Study Room project Back for Its Sixth Season
The Incheon Free Economic Zone has kicked off the sixth season of its “Happy Study Room” initiative.
Partnering with the IFEZ resident companies, this project aims to enhance the study conditions for children and teenagers from low-income families in the old downtown area.
The renovations involve updating wallpaper, flooring, and lighting, and supplying bookshelves and educational tools.
An IFEZ official said that their ongoing commitment to inspiring students and balancing development between the new city and the old downtown.
2024 Incheon Reading Festival to Be Held
The city of Incheon is gearing up for the “2024 Incheon Reading Festival,” set to take place on September 28 and 29.
Ahead of the main event, a preliminary program called “Our Neighborhood Miri Daejeon” will be held. This unique cultural initiative, in collaboration with local small libraries and bookstores, offers a sneak peek of the festival.
From August to September, ten small libraries and local bookstores will host various events. An Incheon city official expressed hope that this will encourage citizens to enjoy reading.
Buy Social Campaign to Boost Socioeconomic Product Sales
In celebration of Chuseok holidays, Incheon Metropolitan City is launching a special online and offline discount promotion from August 19 to September 13.
This initiative aims to boost sales of products from socioeconomic enterprises in the Incheon area. The “Buy Social” campaign, part of this promotion, seeks to raise awareness of social economy, share regional values, and revitalize the local economy.
An Incheon city official expressed hope that citizens will enjoy a bountiful Chuseok by purchasing socioeconomic products during this largest discount event of the year.
Incheon Students Gain Global Insights Through Overseas Entrepreneurship Training
The Incheon Office of Education has announced the successful completion of the 2024 Entrepreneurship Overseas Training for 52 middle and high school students from the Global Startup School’s second cohort.
The training, held in Vietnam and Singapore, featured a demo day where students presented their startup plans and received feedback from local experts.
Superintendent Do Seong-hoon stressed the significance of these experiences in developing global insights and pledged to continue providing such opportunities to help students grow into globally-minded talents.
