“Peace Stamp Tour” Begins Following the History of Incheon Landing Operation
Incheon and the Incheon Tourism Organization announced that from September 10th to October 11th, they will operate the “Incheon Landing Operation Mobile Stamp Tour”, utilizing peace and security tourism resources linked to the Incheon Landing Operation.
This stamp tour was planned in connection with the “74th Anniversary of the Incheon Landing Operation Week”, aiming to promote various peace and security tourism resources in Incheon, including the landing sites related to the Incheon Landing Operation, and to reflect on the meaning of peace.
For participation, install the Incheon Smart Tourism application “Incheon e-ji”, sign up as a member, and then select the “Incheon Landing Operation Stamp Tour”. When visiting the designated tourist sites, the mobile stamp will be automatically recognized based on location information (GPS).
Incheon Provides Free Influenza Vaccinations for Children, Pregnant Women and the Elderly
Incheon announced that starting from September 20th, influenza vaccinations will be administered, beginning with children, followed by pregnant women and seniors (aged 65 and older).
Free vaccinations will be offered to pregnant women from October 2nd, for those aged 75 and older from October 11th, for those aged 70 and older from October 15th, and for those aged 65 and older from October 18th.
This year’s influenza vaccination period runs from September 20th, 2024 to April 30th, 2025, and eligible individuals can receive the vaccination for free at designated medical institutions or public health centers, regardless of their registered address.
Incheon Launches a Large-Scale Incheon Love Campaign to Establish Incheon’s Identity
Incheon announced that it will establish and actively promote a comprehensive “Incheon Love Campaign” to solidify Incheon’s unique identity and unite the capabilities of its citizens.
Despite Incheon’s abundant resources and potential to maximize the city’s brand value, many citizens do not fully recognize these assets and developments, and there is also a low level of interest in municipal affairs.
In response, Incheon plans to comprehensively promote the “Incheon Love Campaign” to clearly reframe and widely publicize Incheon’s valuable assets and strengths from the citizens’ perspective. This initiative aims to establish and spread Incheon’s identity and unite the capabilities of its citizens.
Apply for the 2024 IFEZ Korean Speaking Contest by Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority has announced that it will host the “2024 IFEZ Korean Speaking Contest” for foreigners residing in Incheon”.
Starting with the inaugural event in 2021, this year marks the forth edition of the contest, which is scheduled to be held on October 11th (Friday) in celebration of Hangul Day on October 9th.
The Korean Speaking Contest is open to all foreigners aged 19 or older residing in the Incheon Free Economic Zone and Incheon City. To participate, applicants must choose between the themes “My Experience with IFEZ” or “My Experience with Incheon”, and submit their speech text or a video presentation of up to 5 minutes via email by September 24th.
