Incheon Launches 'Secret Bus Monitoring Team' to Oversee Bus Service Quality
Similar to how police use undercover patrol cars to catch speeders on highways, Incheon City will operate a “Secret Bus Monitoring Team” with random citizens riding buses to evaluate factors such as driver behavior and adherence to schedules.
To enhance public transportation services, Incheon City has established a team of 56 citizen monitors. These monitors will be active from now until December 10, conducting their evaluations over a period of three months.
Selected team members will ride buses on designated routes three times and on their preferred routes three times each month, totaling at least six rides per month. They will assess various aspects of bus service, including driver friendliness, instances of sudden braking or acceleration, the operation of safety indicators, and the cleanliness of the bus.
