Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education Hosts College Admission Fair for the 2025 Academic Year

The Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education is providing college admission information for prospective students and their parents ahead of the upcoming entrance exams.

On September 21, the Office of Education will host a college admission fair at JEI University Jaeneung Hall, inviting 28 colleges, including those from the metropolitan area.

The fair will run from 10 AM to 4 PM and will feature individual counseling booths for each invited college, as well as on-site consultations with counselors from the Incheon Career and Academic Support Team.

Admission officers from colleges in Incheon and the metropolitan areas will participate in the fair, offering customized information to attendees. This includes insights on last year’s admission results, interview preparation tips, and employment opportunities after graduation.

Incheon Recognized as Model City for Dementia Management, Ranking First in National Evaluation

Incheon City and the Incheon Metropolitan Dementia Center were recently awarded the Minister of Health and Welfare commendation at the 17th Dementia Overcoming Day ceremony, being the only metropolitan city to receive this honor.

The city and the Dementia Center were recognized for their outstanding performance in operating community dementia councils and governance, providing technical support to dementia care centers, and conducting research initiatives.

An official from Incheon stated, "We will do our utmost to ensure that the dementia management infrastructure in Incheon fulfills its roles across all areas." 

Incheon City Reminds Residents: “September is Property Tax Payment Month, Don’t Forget to Pay!”

Incheon City announced that approximately 1.43 million property tax assessments totaling 630.8 billion KRW have been issued for housing and land in September 2024.

Citizens who own property must pay their taxes by September 30. Late payments will incur a 3% penalty, so it’s important to pay on time.

Property taxes can be easily checked and paid through the WeTax system and mobile apps, as well as at CD/ATM machines or by using the ARS services (142-211) available at various financial institutions nationwide.

Drawing Contest to be Held at Former US Military Base 'Camp Market' on October 19

Incheon City will host the "3rd Camp Market Drawing Contest" on October 19 at the sports field of the former Bupyeong US military base, Camp Market.

This year's contest theme is "What I Love About Camp Market (Nature, Memories, Daily Life, Future)," and around 100 elementary school students are expected to participate.

Fifteen participants will be awarded prizes, including the Grand Prize and Excellence Awards. The results will be announced on the Camp Market website.
