The 29th World OKTA Convention to Be Held in Songdo, Incheon in 2025
In September, the city of Incheon announced its successful bid to host the 29th World OKTA Convention in 2025.
This was reiterated to Korean businesspeople worldwide during the closing ceremony of the 28th World OKTA Convention. The upcoming 29th convention in Incheon will feature diverse sessions, business matching opportunities, exhibitions, economic forums and conferences, as well as cultural events.
It aims to support Korean businesses in their global expansion, enhance Incheon’s brand value, and contribute to the growth of the tourism industry and local economy.
Incheon Hosts Prenatal Concert for the Health and Happiness of Expecting Mothers and Babies
In celebration of the 19th Pregnant Women’s Day, Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon branch of Korea Population Health and Welfare Association successfully held the “I Love Prenatal Concert.”
This event aimed to raise awareness of the importance of pregnancy and childbirth while fostering a supportive culture for expecting mothers. Around 200 pregnant women and their families from the Incheon area gathered at the Art Center Incheon, showing their great interest.
Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok expressed his hope that the event would serve as an opportunity to recognize the preciousness of expectant mothers and share their experiences
Incheon Metropolitan City Museum to Host Educational Program for Families in November and December.
The Incheon Metropolitan City Museum announced that it would run an educational program for families with elementary school children on the third Saturday of November and December, titled From Daebul Hotel to Junghwaru.
The program covers stories of Daebul Hotel, which is Korea’s first hotel established in 1884, and the Junghwaru restaurant that operated in the same building. The classes will be held on the third Saturday of each month, starting at 10 a.m., In November and December.
A museum representative encouraged families to enjoy a meaningful end of the year by learning about Incheon’s modern architectural history and creating memorable experiences together.
Incheon to Host Distributed APEC Meetings Next Year, Aiming to Enhance City Brand Value
Selected as a host city for the upcoming APEC (the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) meetings next year, Incheon City has begun efforts to enhance its brand value.
Incheon plans to use the successful hosting of the third APEC Senior Officials’ Meeting and ministerial meetings, to be held in Songdo International City from July to October, as a steppingstone toward becoming a “Global Top Ten City.”
The annual APEC meetings bring together leaders and ministers from 21 Asia-Pacific countries, and Incheon plans to take advantage of this global spotlight
to showcase its development.
