Korea-China Future Advanced Industry Forum Sets the Stage for Cooperation in Four Key Sectors
On November 14, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) hosted the Korea-China Future Advanced Industry Forum at Songdo Convensia. The event was organized by the IFEZ and the Chinese Embassy in Korea, with joint sponsorship from the Institute of Policy Evaluation, Pangoal Institution (China), Incheon Technopark, and TMT POST.
The forum was designed to explore new models of cooperation and development strategies between South Korea and China in the field of future advanced industries, in response to shifts in global trade dynamics and supply chains.
The IFEZ plans to use this forum as an opportunity to identify new investment opportunities from China. Additionally, it is working on expanding its economic free zones, with a focus on developing a "Global Advanced Industry Complex" in the southern part of Ganghwa-gun.
Geomdan Prehistoric Museum Celebrates 16th Anniversary with Family-Friendly Cultural Experience Event
The Geomdan Prehistoric Museum in Incheon will hold a special cultural experience event, "Prehistory and Us" (Seonsarang Urirang), to celebrate its 16th anniversary.
Since its opening in 2008, the Geomdan Prehistoric Museum has showcased a variety of relics from different historical periods, excavated during urban development projects in the northern Incheon areas, such as Geomdan New Town, Wondang District, and Bullo District. The museum offers diverse exhibitions, educational programs, and cultural experience events to the public.
The event will take place on Saturday, November 23, and is open to visitors of all ages, including children and adults. A wide range of family-friendly activities will be available, and all programs will be offered free of charge.
Incheon Wins Grand Prize in '2024 Urban Regional Innovation Awards' for Economic Hub Development
Incheon has been awarded the Grand Prize in the Economic Hub Development category at the 2024 Urban Regional Innovation Awards ceremony held in Daegu on November 13. The award recognizes the achievements of Incheon’s Gaehang Creative City Urban Regeneration.
Now in its sixth year, the Urban Regional Innovation Awards honor local governments and private companies that have successfully revitalized regions and fostered innovation through urban regeneration and the strengthening of economic foundations. Incheon received high praise for its success as a model of urban regeneration in South Korea.
With this recognition, Incheon plans to continue its efforts to establish innovative urban regeneration models and create spaces that will satisfy both local residents and tourists in the future.
Incheon Launches Online Survey to Improve the Incheon Tour Website
Incheon Metropolitan City is conducting an online survey to gather citizen feedback on improving the features of the Incheon Tour website.
The survey will run for three weeks, from November 14 to December 5, and is open to all visitors of the Incheon Tour website, regardless of their location.
Through this survey, the city plans to actively incorporate citizen feedback into improvements for the website’s services. Additionally, 230 participants will be selected by lottery to receive gift vouchers as a reward for their participation.
