Book Concert to Celebrate Publication of Incheon Folk Tale Picture Books

Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will hold a book concert at Cheonghak Art Hall on the 7th of next month to celebrate the publication of Incheon folk tale picture books "The Greedy Village of Gyodongdo" and "The Liquor Rock of Munhaksan and the Filial Son."

The newly published folk tale picture books include "The Greedy Village of Gyodongdo," a story that takes place in the old village of 'Jeongju' on Gyodongdo in Ganghwa-gun, and "The Liquor Rock of Munhaksan and the Filial Son," which tells the story of a poor but devoted son who took great care of his father.

A city official stated, "We hope these folk tale picture books will increase Incheon citizens' love for their hometown and serve as valuable content representing Incheon."

Incheon City Choir 2024 Year-End Concert "Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow"

The Incheon City Choir is hosting a year-end concert to conclude 2024.

On December 12th at the Art Center Incheon Concert Hall, they will present a choral performance telling stories of our yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

The performance will be directed by Ahn Ji-sun, an emerging talent in choral direction, who will deliver a well-structured stage featuring the National Chorus's creative cantata 'Hunminjeongeum' and 'Korea Fantasy'.

Tickets for the Incheon City Choir's 2024 Year-End Concert "Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow" are priced at 20,000 won for R seats and 10,000 won for S seats. More details can be found on the Incheon Culture and Arts Center website.

Incheon Songam Art Museum Operates Weekend Education Program "Alsongdalsong Museum" for Elementary Students

Incheon Metropolitan City's Songam Art Museum will operate "Find the Museum's Secrets" on Saturday, December 14th, for elementary school students in grades 4-6.

"Alsongdalsong Museum - Find the Museum's Secrets" is an experiential program linked to the Songam Art Museum's permanent exhibition. It provides opportunities for children to learn about artworks in an easy and fun way through various activities including exhibition viewing, worksheet solving, and creating their own artifact lighting.

Children who wish to participate can apply through the Incheon City Online Integrated Reservation website until the 11th.

Incheon City Prepares 'Emergency Transportation Plan' for Railway Union General Strike

Incheon Metropolitan City has prepared an emergency transportation plan to minimize public inconvenience in preparation for the general strike by the railway union and Seoul Metro.

As disruptions are expected in train operations of Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) and Seoul Metro, Incheon City plans to actively utilize alternative transportation methods.

Incheon Metro Lines 1 and 2 will operate normally during the strike period. Particularly, the last train schedule will be adjusted in coordination with KORAIL and Seoul Metro Line 7 trains to ensure there is no inconvenience for citizens during late hours.
