Incheon City Designates 15 Neighborhood Business Communities This Year
Incheon City has announced the designation of 15 neighborhood business communities to revitalize struggling local business districts and discover unique commercial areas.
The program provides up to 20 million KRW in funding for selected groups, supporting joint marketing and environmental improvements tailored to the characteristics of each district. Any organization with at least 20 small business owners based in a neighborhood district, and an elected representative to oversee projects, is eligible to apply.
This year, the selected communities have organized activities such as busking performances, children’s drawing contests, and online promotions via social media since August.

Incheon to Operate Jeongseojin Farmers’ Market in 2025
Incheon City will continue operating the Jeongseojin Farmers’ Market next year, expanding its offerings to include livestock and fishery products.
The market will be held every Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday from January to December 2025 at the Gyeongin Ara Waterway Passenger Terminal.
Hosted by Incheon City and organized by the Korean Advanced Farmers’ Federation (Incheon Chapter), the market supports farmers by expanding sales channels and increasing income while providing citizens with fresh, quality products at reasonable prices.
Since its launch in 2012, the market has consistently contributed to securing stable sales channels and regulating local agricultural supply for 12 years.
Incheon Hosts “2024 Childcare Achievements Sharing Event”
On December 19, Incheon City will host the “2024 Childcare Services Achievements Sharing Event” at Dream Bakery on Bandal-ro, Jung-gu.
The event will review key outcomes of childcare support initiatives in 2024 and discuss future directions for development.
Approximately 100 participants, including service providers, caregivers, and families, are expected to attend.
The program will feature 2024 achievement presentations, an awards ceremony for the “Childcare Photo Contest,” and a sand art performance inspired by an award-winning essay from the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.
Incheon Youth Future Center to Open on December 18
The Incheon Youth Future Center will officially open on December 18.
Managed by the Incheon Social Services Agency, the center will support isolated and reclusive youth, as well as family caregivers.
Located on the 10th floor of Incheon IT Tower, the 957.39㎡ space is entirely dedicated to youth, with its highlight being a “Querencia” zone. Querencia, derived from Spanish, refers to a space designed for rest and relaxation.
A center representative said, “We hope this space will come to mind when youth want to step out of their homes without a specific destination. We aim to create an Incheon where youth feel it’s worth living.”
