As part of its ongoing efforts to study and share local history, the museum adopted a new “emergency investigation” method this year to promptly document and preserve cultural heritage at risk of disappearance or recently discovered.


Through various methods, including measurements, literature reviews, and oral histories, the museum uncovered the origins, construction style, and relocation history of the lion statue.


The report also includes related information on China’s modern urban history, Incheon’s Janggi-dong’s modern history, and other relevant topics.






Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2024 Year-End Concert, The Choral


The Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra’s highly anticipated 2024 Year-End Concert will take place on Friday, December 27, at 7:30 PM at the Art Center Incheon Concert Hall.


This year’s concert, themed The Choral, will be a special farewell performance by artistic director and chief conductor Lee Byung-wook, who has led the orchestra’s dynamic growth over the past six years.
