Incheon to Ease Financial Burden on Job-Seeking Youths with Exam Fee Support


In an effort to support job-seeking youths, Incheon Metropolitan City has unveiled a new initiative to cover up to 100,000 Won for certification and language exam fees, launched in 2023 as a response to youth demands. 

This pioneering program is the first of its kind among Korea's 17 metropolitan areas.

Eligible youths can apply through the Incheon Youth Portal by submitting their documentation and payment proof. 




Innovative Citizens and Officials to Receive Financial Rewards in Incheon


Incheon Metropolitan City has announced it will be accepting applications for the 2025 Budget Performance Bonus until February 28. 

This initiative aims to reward citizens and public officials who provide innovative ideas that help cut costs and increase revenue.

The Budget Performance Bonus system provides a portion of the savings or additional income generated through improved budget execution methods and systems as a bonus to the contributors.

Applicants should prepare documents that prove their budget-saving efforts and creativity, and submit their applications to the Incheon City Budget Office via email or postal mail.





Family Agricultural Cultural Experience Event in Incheon for Winter Vacation


In celebration of the winter vacation, Incheon Agricultural Technology Center will run the 'Traditional Customs Ghost Day Experience' program. This initiative aims to spread awareness of agricultural culture and help families understand the value of agriculture and rural life.

This day, marked on the 16th day of the first lunar month, was a day when people stayed home to avoid ghosts and refrained from any activities.

During the program, families can enjoy various ghost-chasing customs after sunset. The event will be held at 'Inheejai,' within the Agricultural Technology Center, at 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM on February 12 and 13.





Incheon Metropolitan City Tackles Odor Problem at Hakik Reservoir


Incheon Metropolitan City is addressing the odor problem at Hakik Reservoir. 

The city recently held resident briefings to discuss the feasibility study on reclamation and creating an alternative reservoir.

These sessions were designed to share interim findings on the odor issue, water quality improvements, and disaster prevention performance while gathering feedback from residents. 

An official from Incheon City emphasized the commitment to finding the best solution considering both economic and environmental factors.
