Incheon City to Conduct 'Business Survey' Until March 4th


Incheon City will conduct this year's business survey from the 7th to March 4th to analyze the size, distribution, and employment structure of all businesses in Incheon.

This survey targets all businesses operating in Incheon as of December 31st last year, with approximately 270,000 businesses included.

To improve survey efficiency, the scope of administrative data substitutes, such as non-operating businesses, has been expanded this year. Additionally, unmanned stores have been included in the survey to respond to the changing industrial environment.

The preliminary results of the survey will be announced in September, and the final results will be confirmed in December.





Incheon City to Foster Future Fisheries Leaders


The Incheon City Fisheries Technology Support Center is recruiting applicants for its Training Program until the 28th.

The Fisheries Management Training Program is a policy designed to nurture professional personnel who will lead the future fisheries industry. The city provides financial support in the form of loans to assist with the establishment of fishing industry foundations and the improvement of management practices.

This year, 19 fisheries industry managers will be selected for support, including 16 successors in the fishing industry and 3 outstanding managers.

A representative from the Incheon Fisheries Technology Support Center stated, "We will select outstanding managers and train them as talented professionals for the future fisheries industry."





New Postal Service Office to Be Established in Yeongjong Sky City in the Second Half of This Year


A new postal service office will be established in Yeongjong Sky City, located within the Incheon Yeongjong International City, in the second half of this year.

The Yeongjong Unnam-dong Post Office was established in 2021, but residents of Yeongjong Sky City had to travel more than 4km to access postal services, causing inconvenience.

In response, Korea Post has internally decided to set up a postal service office within Yeongjong Sky City in the second half of this year and is currently proceeding with the related procedures.

Postal service offices are typically established in areas with high postal demand but low financial service needs, and private companies are entrusted with operating the postal services.





Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education Ranked 1st in National Evaluation of Civil Service Performance


The Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education has been recognized as the top institution in the nationwide civil service evaluation, jointly hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.

The evaluation assessed a total of 307 institutions, including central administrative agencies, provincial and metropolitan offices of education, and local governments, based on factors such as ▲civil service administrative strategies and systems, ▲management of civil service systems, ▲handling of public grievances and complaints, and ▲public satisfaction with civil services. The evaluation scores were used to determine five rating levels.

The Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education received high marks for its field-based civil service administration, including the operation of the eco-friendly shared school bus, the "Student Success Bus," and improvements to the preferential admission system for multi-child families in middle schools.
