Criminal and Administrative Divisions Established at the Incheon Branch of Seoul High Court
Incheon City announced that the Criminal and Administrative divisions will be newly established at the Incheon Branch of the Seoul High Court on February 24, bringing the total number of divisions to five. This development is expected to enhance access to justice for Incheon residents.
Previously, the Incheon Branch only handled civil and family cases. With the new divisions, it will now also have jurisdiction over administrative and criminal cases.
As a result, Incheon residents will be able to receive more convenient and faster judicial services without needing to travel to Seoul for appeals.
Incheon Credit Guarantee Foundation to Provide 3 Billion Won in Guarantees in Partnership with NongHyup Bank
The Incheon Credit Guarantee Foundation has signed a special business agreement with NongHyup Bank to offer credit guarantees for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and micro-entrepreneurs in Incheon.
This agreement aims to provide practical financial support to SMEs and micro-entrepreneurs in Incheon, who have been struggling due to the recent economic downturn.
Under the agreement, NH Bank will contribute 200 million won in guarantee funds to the foundation, which will then provide a total of 3 billion won in credit guarantees to help SMEs and micro-entrepreneurs in Incheon secure working capital.
The support will be available to SMEs and micro-entrepreneurs based in Incheon and nominated by NH Bank. Each business can receive up to 200 million won, with a guarantee fee of 1.0% per year. The guarantee period is one year, with the possibility of extension for up to 10 years.
106th Anniversary of the March First Movement Commemoration to be Held at Art Center Incheon
On March 1, Incheon Metropolitan City will host the 106th anniversary commemoration of the March First Movement at the Concert Hall of Art Center Incheon.
The ceremony will begin with a video screening of independence movement leader Kim Gu, followed by the pledge of allegiance, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, awards for independence activists, a commemorative speech by Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok, a poem reading, the singing of the March First song, and giving three cheers.
The event will continue with a performance by the ‘Fusion Gugak Band Gyeongji,’ who will perform songs such as ‘36 Years (From Darkness to Light)’ and ‘Cry of Freedom,’ honoring the sacrifices and spirit of the independence movement.
Various side events will be organized to allow citizens to reflect on the significance of the March First Movement and participate in meaningful activities.
Seo Dong-han, Son of Coach Seo Jung-won, Joins Incheon United in K League 2
Incheon United, a team in the K League 2 (second division), has signed forward Seo Dong-han (23), who previously played for Suwon Samsung.
Seo Dong-han is the son of Seo Jung-won, head coach of Chengdu Rongcheng (China). He played for Suwon's youth team, Maetan High School, and made his professional debut in 2023 while still a student at Korea University.
In 2018, Seo Dong-han was named the K League Junior Top Scorer and also received the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award at the K League Youth Championship. If he fulfills his potential this year, Seo Dong-han could play a key role in helping Incheon return to K League 1.
