Incheon Partners with Four State-Owned Companies to Improve Air Quality


Incheon City is teaming up with four state-owned enterprises in Incheon to reduce air pollutants from 2024 to 2029.

On February 20, Incheon signed an agreement at City Hall with Incheon International Airport Corporation, Incheon Port Authority, Korea Gas Corporation, and the Metropolitan Landfill Management Corporation to implement the third phase of the ‘Incheon Clean Corporation Council Environmental Improvement Project.’

The participating organizations plan to introduce eco-friendly infrastructure, expand the use of renewable energy, and carry out key projects to reduce air pollutants such as nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, and dust.





Incheon Discusses Cruise Industry Growth, Expects 110,000 Tourists This Year


Incheon City appointed new members to the Cruise Industry Development Committee and held a meeting with experts to discuss strategies for fostering the city’s cruise industry.

The meeting covered topics such as operating Incheon-themed cruises and developing shore excursion products that highlight the city’s unique attractions.

This year, Incheon Port Cruise Terminal expects to welcome around 110,000 tourists from 32 cruise visits.

Notably, 15 homeport operations, including Norwegian Cruise Line ships, are planned, which is expected to boost the local economy and tourism sector.








Abandoned Nonhyeon Retention Pond to Become Incheon’s First Family Water Park


An abandoned retention pond will be transformed into Incheon’s first outdoor water park for families.

Namdong-gu announced that it will invest 4.5 billion KRW to develop an outdoor water park at Nonhyeon Pode Neighborhood Park’s second retention pond by July this year.

This will be the first family-friendly outdoor water park built by a local government in Incheon. It will feature a 175-meter lazy river, a swimming pool, and a toddler splash area.





Seo-gu Launches ‘Walking Challenge’ with e-Eum Cash Rewards


Seo-gu is launching the ‘Walking Challenge Season 1’ from March to April.

Participants who walk 300,000 steps using a mobile walking app will receive 5,000 KRW in e-Eum Cash. The reward is limited to the first 5,000 participants.

The challenge will be held three times this year, in March, June, and September, with each round lasting two months.

Participants who also join Incheon’s ‘Incheon 3.6.9 Walking’ program can earn up to 15,000 KRW in e-Eum Cash.
