Incheon Initiates Comprehensive Air Quality Improvement Plan 


The Incheon Metropolitan City has unveiled its comprehensive plan for fine dust reduction projects in 2025, with the goal of improving air quality for its citizens. The plan involves an investment of 255.1 billion won in 85 projects across six key areas.

Incheon has been implementing the '6th Seasonal Management of Fine Dust' from December 2024 to March 2025, enhancing emission reduction measures and undertaking various initiatives to decrease high levels of fine dust and safeguard public health.

This comprehensive plan for fine dust reduction is a part of the 8th term of civil administration's citizen proposal commitments and focuses on collaborative efforts with the central government and neighboring regions such as Seoul and Gyeonggi Province.






Incheon Enforces Strict Measures on Seafood Origin Labeling Violations 


The Incheon Special Judicial Police have revealed that from January to February, they conducted a comprehensive investigation into the origin labeling practices of winter seafood, in cooperation with the Fisheries Technology Support Center and local districts.

The investigation uncovered 19 violations in total: four cases of false or confusing origin labeling and 15 cases of no labeling.

The Incheon Special Judicial Police plan to file charges and forward the four cases of false or confusing labeling to the prosecution after their investigation. For the 15 cases of intentional non-labeling, they will request administrative action from the respective local districts.





Incheon Establishes Integrated Support 


The Incheon Metropolitan Government plans to launch the 'Integrated Support Group for Market Expansion of Social Economy Enterprises' to tackle the severe domestic economic downturn through public-private cooperation, aiming to expand the market access and enhance the self-sufficiency of social economy enterprises.

The inauguration ceremony, scheduled for March 12, will be part of the 2025 Incheon Social Economy Workshop. The event will feature the presentation of the Social Economy Development Plan, the launch of citizen supporters, public procurement consultation sessions, and a variety of other activities.

With this launch, Incheon aims to enhance the self-sufficiency of social economy enterprises and expects increased sales and employment opportunities through various market support programs in both the public and private sectors.





Incheon Port to Host Eight Global Cruises This Month


According to the Incheon Port Authority, eight global cruise ships are scheduled to arrive at Incheon Port this month.

This accounts for 25% of the 32 cruise ships scheduled to visit Incheon this year. 

Two of these eight cruise ships will operate with Incheon Port as their home port.

The IPA predicts that the extended stays of these cruises, including overnight cruises, will greatly benefit the local economy.
