Incheon Recruits Companies for Senior Employment Extension Support Program


Incheon City has launched the Senior Employment Extension Support Program, inviting small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises to participate in an effort to retain skilled workers aged 60 and above and alleviate labor shortages in the sector.

Under this initiative, companies that continue employing retired workers for at least two years or hire new employees aged 60 and older will receive 300,000 KRW per worker per month for up to one year.

Each company can apply for up to 10 workers, while businesses with fewer than 10 employees can receive support for up to two workers. The subsidy will be provided every three months based on an employment status review.






‘Baengnyeong Art Platform’ Cultural Exhibition Space Project Moves Forward


A new cultural exhibition space named ‘Baengnyeong Art Platform’ is set to be established on Baengnyeongdo, South Korea’s northernmost island.

Ongjin-gun has recently selected Phenomeno as the preferred bidder for the basic and detailed design contract of the project.

The initiative was chosen for the government’s K-Tourism Island Development Program in 2023 and will repurpose the old Yonggipo Port dock into a cultural exhibition hub at a cost of 4.3 billion KRW.

The Baengnyeong Art Platform will feature Exhibition halls showcasing artworks and historical archives, Open studios for artists to engage in cultural and creative activities, A viewing area with scenic views of Sagot Beach, a famous natural attraction on the island.
