Incheon Expands Protection Zones for Persons with Disabilities


The Incheon Metropolitan City has announced plans to expand designated protection zones for persons with disabilities. The move aims to reduce traffic-related risks and enhance accessibility for people with mobility challenges.

The city is proactively guiding welfare facilities for persons with disabilities on how to apply for protection zone designation. 

In particular, The city is actively informing 13 welfare centers frequently used by persons with disabilities about the importance of designating protection zones, the application process, and the improvements that follow designation.

Incheon plans to gradually expand the number of these protection zones through continued outreach and coordination efforts.





Incheon Conducts Emergency Safety Inspection at Cheongna Line Construction Site


The Incheon Urban Railroad Construction Headquarters will conduct a joint public-private safety inspection at the construction site of the Seoul Subway Line 7 Cheongna extension to prevent potential safety accidents.

This action comes in response to recent incidents at urban rail construction sites in other areas, including ground subsidence in Seoul's Gangdong-gu and a collapse at the Sinansan Line site in Gwangmyeong.

The three-day inspection, taking place from April 16 to 18, will focus on tunnel structural integrity and surrounding ground conditions.

The Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra will present its 432nd regular concert, 2025 Classic Essence IV: DEUTSCH, on Friday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Art Center Incheon Concert Hall.

Incheon Youth Future Center Helps Reclusive Youth Connect Through Song


The Incheon Youth Future Center, operated by the Incheon Social Service Agency, has launched a music-based relationship-building program titled Sing Again for socially withdrawn youth.

The 10-week program, running from April to June, features two professional vocal instructors who guide participants in weekly two-hour sessions to help them confidently sing songs of their choice.

A program representative noted, “Although it’s a small stage, we hope it becomes a meaningful opportunity for participants to communicate and grow together.”
