Incheon City to Complete First River Restoration Project This Year
Incheon City is set to complete its first river restoration project, the Gulpocheon Ecological River in Bupyeong-gu, by the end of this year.
Launched in 2021, the project involves the removal of existing concrete coverings along a section of the tributary stream and the creation of an ecological river within the urban area.
Once completed in the second half of the year, the restored stream will provide a new waterfront space for citizens to enjoy.
Incheon City Hosts Musical Tour to Promote Safety Education for Children
Incheon City is using music and dance to raise safety awareness among children through a touring musical performance.
From June 12 to 24, the city will present the ‘Children’s Safety Education Musical’ at three local elementary schools and Cheongna Blue Nova Hall, targeting first and second graders.
Incheon City aims to use the performances not only to improve children's disaster response skills but also to promote environmental awareness and action.
Incheon City to Host 'Incheon Fair Trade Festival 2025' on June 14 in Songdo
Incheon Metropolitan City will host the 'Incheon Fair Trade Festival 2025' on June 14 at the lawn plaza of Songdo Central Park under the slogan 'From Korea’s First to the Best Fair Trade City – Incheon'.
According to the city, the festival is designed to help citizens better understand and experience the values of fair trade.
As part of the city's broader fair trade policy efforts, the event will showcase the present and future of fair trade activities and serve as a platform to share the vision of building a 'Sustainable Fair Trade City' together with the community.
Incheon City to Open Agricultural Products Market on June 14–15
Incheon City will host the 'Incheon Agricultural Products Market 2025' on June 14 and 15 at the Wave Hall of the Sangsang Platform.
Organized by the Korea Succession Agricultural Managers Central Association Incheon Chapter, the event aims to support local farmers by expanding sales channels and offering high-quality local agricultural products to citizens at affordable prices.
All items will be sold at up to 30% off retail prices, and same-day free delivery will be available for customers who purchase more than 50,000 won worth of products.

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority will hold the ‘2025 Korea-China Economic and Industrial Forum’ on June 19 at the Grand Ballroom of the Sheraton Grand Incheon Hotel.
Marking the 10th anniversary of the Korea-China Free Trade Agreement (FTA), the forum will be held under the theme ‘10 Years of the Korea-China FTA: Exploring Cooperation in Emerging Industries and Supply Chains.’

Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority Confirms Wycombe Abbey to Directly Operate International School on Yeongjong
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZA) announced that it is proceeding with a business agreement within this year with the preferred bidder regarding the establishment of an international school on Yeongjongdo.
An IFEZA official stated that the British private school Wycombe Abbey has pledged to establish and directly operate the Yeongjong international school in accordance with Korean law.
IFEZA conducted an on-site inspection at Wycombe Abbey’s main campus in the United Kingdom last month and plans to begin construction in March next year following the signing of the agreement by the end of this year.
Ganghwa-gun Launches Residents’ Integration Committee to Tackle Local Decline Through Unity
Ganghwa-gun in Incheon has officially launched its Residents’ Integration Committee to begin full-scale operations.
The committee is a key pledge of the mayor of Ganghwa-gun and consists of 100 members selected from various sectors of the local community. It serves as a policy communication body aimed at fostering resident participation.
The committee will collect public opinions on major policies and local issues, make policy proposals, and mediate or coordinate disputes as part of its role.
