(뉴스용) 인천 옹진군, 장봉도 항공기 소음피해보상지원지역 확대 추진

인천시 옹진군이 장봉도에서 인천국제공항 항공기 소음 피해 보상 지원 지역을 확대하는 방안을 추진합니다.

장봉도는 인천공항에서 직선거리로 10㎞ 정도 떨어져 있는데 일부 지역에서만 피해 보상 지원이 이뤄지고 있어 형평성에 문제가 있다는 민원이 이어지고 있습니다.

옹진군은 이에 따라 소음 피해 보상 지원 지역이 아닌 장봉도의 북도면 장봉2리 2곳과 장봉3리 1곳 등 3곳에서 이르면 다음 달부터 내년 8월까지 항공기 소음을 측정할 계획이라고 밝혔습니다.

군은 이번 측정 결과를 토대로 소음대책 지역 지정·고시 주체인 국토교통부와 서울지방항공청 등 관계기관에 장봉도 일부 마을을 소음 피해 보상 지역으로 추가 지정해달라고 건의할 계획입니다.

Ongjin-gun in Incheon to Expand Aircraft Noise Compensation Area in Jangbong-do

Ongjin-gun in Incheon is planning to expand the aircraft noise compensation support area on Jangbong-do, which is affected by noise from Incheon International Airport.

Jangbong-do is located about 10 kilometers from the airport in a straight line. However, only some parts of the island currently receive compensation, which has led to complaints about fairness.

In response, Ongjin-gun announced plans to begin measuring aircraft noise as early as next month in three new locations that are not currently covered—two areas in Jangbong 2-ri and one in Jangbong 3-ri, all located in Bukdo-myeon. The monitoring will continue until August next year.

Based on the results, Ongjin-gun plans to formally request that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Seoul Regional Office of Aviation designate these areas as new aircraft noise compensation zones.

With more people traveling domestically and abroad during the summer holiday season, the Incheon Metropolitan Government is urging citizens to take extra precautions against mosquito-borne diseases.

Mosquito-borne diseases are caused by viruses spread through mosquito bites. In Korea, malaria and Japanese encephalitis are the most common, while diseases like dengue fever, Zika virus, and chikungunya are more common overseas.

The city advises are, Use mosquito repellent, Maintain window screens and use household insecticides and Wear long, light-colored clothing during outdoor or nighttime activities.

올해 여름 휴가철 인천과 서해 섬을 잇는 연안여객선의 이용객이 지난해보다 증가한 것으로 나타났습니다.

인천지방해양수산청에 따르면 여름 휴가철인 지난달 25일부터 이달 3일까지 인천지역 15개 항로의 연안여객선 이용객은 7만2천469명으로 집계됐습니다.

이는 지난해 같은 기간 연안여객선 이용객인 6만3천729명보다 14% 증가한 수준입니다.

인천해수청은 백령도와 연평도 등지 섬 여행객이 안전하고 편안하게 여객선을 이용할 수 있도록 오는 10일까지 특별교통 대책을 추진하기로 했습니다.

The number of passengers using Incheon’s coastal ferries to travel to western sea islands during the summer vacation season has increased compared to last year.

According to the Incheon Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries, from July 25 to August 3, 72,469 passengers used ferries on 15 routes from Incheon. This is a 14% increase from the 63,729 passengers recorded during the same period last year.

The Incheon Port Authority announced that special transport measures will be in place until August 10 to ensure a safe and comfortable ferry experience for island travelers heading to places like Baengnyeong-do and Yeonpyeong-do.
