Incheon to Launch 1,000 won Culture Ticket in October
Incheon City said it will designate October as the “Month of Culture for Citizens,” linking it with “Citizen’s Day” and “Culture Day,” and will start the “ 1,000 won Culture Ticket” program.
The “1,000 won Culture Ticket” was planned so that anyone can enjoy performances, sports, and tourism for just 1,000 won.
In October, the city will run the program for about 5,400 people as part of the “Month of Culture for Citizens.”
Incheon to Expand Purchase of Rental Housing for Low-Income Households
Incheon City announced a study result showing that it is necessary to purchase redevelopment rental housing to support housing stability for low-income households.
According to the Incheon Institute’s 2025 policy study report, “Management Plan for Purchasing Redevelopment Rental Housing in Incheon,” this measure was recommended.
Through public rental housing purchases, it is expected that housing costs will be reduced, stable living conditions provided, and local housing welfare improved.
Incheon to Host ‘Well-Medi Festa Week’ September 4–7
Incheon City and the Incheon Tourism Organization will hold the “2025 Incheon Well-Medi Festa Week” across the city from September 4 to 7.
This year’s event is a lifestyle wellness festival under the theme “FOREST, for rest,” open to citizens and domestic and overseas visitors.
The festival is expected to expand spending in accommodation, food, and transport by linking with local wellness sites, and survey results will be used to improve future policies and programs.
Incheon to Vaccinate Cattle and Goats Against Foot-and-Mouth Disease in September
Incheon City said it will carry out fall foot-and-mouth disease vaccinations for cattle and goats during September.
The city has vaccinated every April and October, but this fall’s campaign was moved forward by one month because of the decrease in antibody levels.
The city expects this to strengthen the local defense system against the disease.
‘2025 Incheon Reading Festival’ to Be Held
Incheon City announced that the “2025 Incheon Reading Festival” will take place September 26–28 at the Cheongna Lake Park outdoor stage and Cheongna Lake Library.
Now in its fifth year, the festival is held under the theme “Books, the journey begins as you open them,” with programs such as performances, lectures, debates, hands-on activities, and exhibitions.

Incheon City Council to Collect Citizen Reports Ahead of Audit
Incheon City Council said it will receive citizen reports in September and October before the administrative audit in November.
Reports can include illegal or unfair policies, wasteful spending, and suggestions for improvement in Incheon City and the City Office of Education.
The council expects citizen reports to guide the audit and help ensure transparent and efficient administration focused on residents.
Incheon Tourism Organization Recruiting Startups for Investment Event
Incheon Tourism Organization and Incheon City announced they will recruit tourism and MICE startups to join the “2025 Incheon Tourism Startup IR Day” on October 28.
Now in its third year, the program aims to discover promising startups with local growth potential and help them strengthen investor relations and secure real investment opportunities.
Selected companies will receive two weeks of consulting on business plans and IR training before the October 28 event.
‘Incheon Museum Park’ to Open in December 2028
“Incheon Museum Park,” a complex cultural space combining a city art museum, city museum, and art park, will break ground at the end of this year.
Incheon City said construction will start this December, following approval from the Ministry of Interior and Safety in April, and will be completed in August 2028.
The facility will have one basement level, two floors above ground, and a total floor area of 39,000㎡.
The new city art museum and the existing city museum in Okryeon-dong, Yeonsu-gu, will be brought together here, along with a new art park.
Currently, Incheon is the only metropolitan city in Korea without a city art museum.
The city said it will also focus on collecting art pieces and researching Incheon’s art history for the successful opening of the new museum.
